Top Isla Holbox Private & Custom Tours

We had Christian ,family owned and ten years experience, as our guide for a private boat tour to three islands in Holbox. He was a wonderful guide and the boat was more than big enough for our group of eight. 10 out of 5 and a great value.

You had a great tour today on the island of Ho Bosch. We went to the Sante treasure Island and mosquito Beach 10 stars out of five. Our tour operator was excellent from the start with ice water and cooler full of whatever you want to bring. The boat was very nice twin out boards with a nice Bimini top because it is very sunny here. He was bilingual and very friendly and we would totally recommend this for anyone who was looking for a great morning on the water. He also brought a boom box so we could pour our own music which was great. Wow what a great morning. He also asked us what we wanted to do as far as the order of the islands in which islands that we would visit so that was unexpected surprise.

Excellent experience, Silvia the coordinator and Willy the guide, super attentive, explained everything and we learned a lot about Holbox geography and history. Places a paradise. Do not hesitate to make the excursion

Edie and his team run a top notch operation. Word of mouth is the best form of advertising, and we were sent Edie’s way by other travelers. We have now done multiple tours with him.Quality equipment and boats, and great captains and staff. Our family had a wonderful time on the fishing tours, which include incredible ceviche prepared fresh on the boat with the fish you just caught. We have spent a good amount of time on Holbox and can confidently say Edie runs an excellent operation.Highly recommend!

The tour was splendid and everything we hoped for. Our guide David Ricardo and our captain were very knowledgeable about the island and its history. On our way to Yalahau in the morning, we were fortunate to encounter a pod of dolphins, it was quite incredible. We ended our tour with punta mosquito as our last stop, which was so relaxing and then were dropped off in town. Highly recommend booking this tour!

An awesome experience!!! Willy our guide was fantastic, he was very friendly & knowledgeable. Everything went so smoothly, and we spent roughly 2 hours fishing, before we hung out at Punta Mosquito’s while Willy and the captain prepared our fresh (insanely delicious) ceviche! Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic experience with VIP Holbox and highly recommend them.In the morning, we spoke with Willie, who took the time to explain everything clearly and answer all our questions. The reservation process was very easy: we booked and paid through a secure link sent via WhatsApp.Pickup was arranged directly from our hotel and happened perfectly on time, which we really appreciated. Most importantly, we specifically asked not to do the usual high-speed, rushed tour. We were happy to skip some of the classic highlights in exchange for a smooth, slow, and peaceful sail around the island. Our guide and captain, Eddie, fully respected our wishes and adapted the tour accordingly. The result was a truly marvelous afternoon on the water—relaxed, scenic, and exactly what we were hoping for.If you’re looking for a well-organized tour with flexibility and genuine care for your preferences, VIP Holbox is an excellent choice.

I can't say enough good things about this trip!!!! Myself, my husband and three kids all said it was one of the most memorable things we've done, and definitely the highlight of our trip! It far exceeded any expectations we had!David was our tour guide, and he was so friendly and energetic and had so much knowledge of the area. He took us fishing using strings with lures and we had so much fun! Caught a lot of fish which was exciting. From there, he dropped us on a little stretch of beach to relax while they stayed on the boat and made homemade ceviche from the fish we caught. We were blown away by the feast they provided. Fresh ceviche, homemade guacamole and a delicious mango salad and homemade tortilla chips - it felt fine dining and was one of the best meals we had on the island.Pablo was our captain, and was wonderful! He's a master and helped us catch fish! When you're in Holbox, you have to do this trip - you're in for an amazing adventure

Being in the sea at Night was a very Special Moment and our guide was very knowledgable and Gave us very interesting informations regarding Holbox and especially the planctons

Christian was an awesome captain and tour guide. We booked the 8 person boat for just the two of us and it was amazing. It was great to not be crammed in with a bunch of strangers so we could talk to Christian and stretch out. Well worth the price. They picked us up at the hotel and handled everything. Just bring a towel and sunscreen. He was knowledgeable, fun, spoke great English, and always seemed to be handing us beers at just the right moment. Fantastic experience overall, Thank You!

I highly recommend Xtreme Holbox’s 3 island tour. Our family took the private tour and it was wonderful. Our tour guide, Emmanuel, and our captain, Luis, took us to three very beautiful places. First was Yalahau, located on the mainland across from Holbox where we soaked in a crystal-clear freshwater spring. Second was Isla de Pasión with amazing views and last was Isla Pájaros where we saw so many local and migrating birds! Each place we visited was unique and beautiful, but Emmanuel made the tour special. His love for the area and the animals was so obvious. We enjoyed learning everything we could from him! Thank you, Xtreme Holbox, Emmanuel and Luis!

Eddie, our Captain was great! He knew right where to go. We caught 5 fish in the first 15 mins! We stopped at Punta Mosquito and he made the freshest ceviche I have ever had. Definitely recommend this tour!

The owner was present and introduced himself. Both the guide and boatman were informative. The guide spoke perfect English having spent summers in Cleveland as a child. The weather was good. Very few birds on Punta Mosquito. Flamingos and other birds the guide did not know were near Isla Passion. The fresh water pool was good but the guide says gets overrun by midday. Go in the morning. Our boat had only 4 passengers including us. Good.

The natural spring was very relaxing and fun! It was much bigger than we thought. Eddie was a terrific guide- kind & informative.

A fantastic trip to unspoilt nature, fishing, fantastic ceviche prepared by Captain Pablo and an incredibly nice guide David who can tell a lot about the area. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing experience working with VIP Holbox! From the beginning, communication via WhatsApp was prompt, clear, and helpful — everything ran right on time.A special thank-you to David and Captain Alan, who went above and beyond to accommodate our family. Our daughter gets seasick easily, and they were incredibly attentive, making sure we were comfortable throughout the trip. Their kindness and care truly made a difference. The entire team was so ready to serve, share, laugh, and teach us — we learned so much about the local flora, fauna, marine life, and nearby towns. It felt like more than a tour; it was a rich, personal, and joyful experience. And we must mention the ceviche — it was the jewel of the trip! Fresh, delicious, and the perfect touch to an unforgettable day. We’ll definitely be booking another tour with VIP Holbox in the future. Highly recommended!
