We learned to make the most delicious mole (two kinds!) and while we were doing it, we also learned about the historical roots of Mexican cuisine. The food was fantastic, as were the locally sourced mezcal margaritas! (Our son had a mocktail version.) But best of all, Jane is a wise, warm, and lovely host and teacher. And her place was beautiful. So grateful for the time we shared.

Took the Street Food class with Jane. All round awesome experience. Loved going to the small village where the class is held. Super Easy as they arranged for pick up and transport from our hotel to the class. (About a half hour drive). Fun and informative cooking class. We loved the food and drink.

Great food and learning experience
The cooking class was amazing. Jane provided a detailed history and influences on the food of the area. We made salsas, tortillas with a variety of toppings. The location was about 20 minute ride from Huatalco resorts in a beautiful oasis in the hills. Refreshments beer, wine, juices , cocktails were provided to enjoy with our midmorning snack and lunch where we enjoyed our efforts. Jane’s assistants were wonderful & certainly saved our tortillas from being squished out of the press!

We truly enjoyed our cooking class with Jane! She shared some Mexican history and food history as we cooked, and the food was amazing! Tender pork with a delicious sauce, tortillas, corn fritters, cactus salad, tomatillo salsa, horchata with rum…. Everything was so so good!! Loved our time with Jane!Do this class - it was great!

Amazing Food and View!
What an amazing time we had and the view was spectacular. Javier is a great Chef and cooking instructor. He walked us through each step of every salsa (4 of them), the cochinita pibil, Isthmus style garnachas with beef and corn flan! This was such a fun class and we ate and were full! Liliana was a great host and the drinks were delicious as well! This is a class you should definitely consider!!

Alfredo is amazing. My wife and I both tremendously enjoyed the cooking class. We felt like family as soon as we arrived. All recipes were broken down to easily follow as was the history of the dishes we prepared. If you want a quality experience this is your cooking class to attend.

Such a great experience. We learned a lot and really enjoyed the cooking. Jane is so engaging. Learned a lot about Mexican food traditions and history. It is very warm in the teaching kitchen so dress appropriately.

We were in Huatulco celebrating Frank's 67th birthday and he chose to do a cooking class. I found this on online and from start to finish, everything was excellent. Zero complaints. This little group from Louisiana learned a lot of real Mexican cooking and loved it. We also ate a very interesting breakfast tamale.I would recommend this class to everyone!!
