Top Huatulco Audio Guided Tours

Sometime after I booked the Magic Falls waterfall tour with him, Oscar contacted me on WhatsApp to coordinate the details. Within a few minutes, I not only felt confident about the tour details but, since my hotel didn't offer pickups and drop-offs, Oscar offered to handle that as well. Having someone waiting for us at the airport holding up a sign with my name on it was a nice way to start things off.On the day of the falls trip, Oscar picked us up on time with a smile. He had lived in the US for many years, and his English was great, but he was also more than willing to let me practice my Spanish (not everyone is so patient). We chatted in both languages during the drive and got to know a bit about each other and his community. We'd heard that the roads were a bit rough, but with his smooth driving, we were fine.Because we had picked a private tour of the falls, we had flexibility. Oscar laid out the options and let us pick, and we could stay at each spot as long as we wanted as long as we got back in time. So when we got to the falls with the rope swing and the kids wanted to use it 50 times, we didn't rush. He jumped in and swung the rope to each of us, one at a time. When one of the kids wanted to jump off the diving platform for the third time, he hung around and recorded it on video.It was more than an adventure tour. He told us about Oaxaca and about the work he does to support his community. He stopped so we could visit a family making tortillas and try it ourselves. He took us to the co-op he runs with his wife and kids and others from the community. There was a product presentation partway through the day, but the money goes back into the community, and his investment in the people around him is obvious. It wasn't like going to a timeshare; it was fun to learn about the products and felt good to contribute a little bit.We had one open day left at the end of our trip and ended up going fishing with him and his young son. We caught a couple of sailfish, got some pictures, and threw them back. Getting to know Oscar better and spending the day with his son made it that much richer.The last thing we did in Huatulco was spend a little more time with Oscar when he drove us to the airport, which was bittersweet.From being a friendly and informed guide to staying in contact with us to helping us navigate day-to-day challenges in Huatulco, Oscar really went above and beyond. Now that I know he offers a lot of other tours, we'll book everything with him the next time we visit.

This trip with Oscar was an incredible experience into local tales, as well as exploring the stunning waterfall park itself. Oscar did a great job providing additional context and details to local folklore and culture. He was receptive to plenty of questions for those with curious minds. He was also helpful and encouraging when it came to traversing some of the more complicated sections of the trail. The food to conclude the excursion was simply outstanding.

Oscar & Pablo were excellent hosts. Oscar picked us up from our hotel and drove us up to Pluma Hidalgo with a stop in Santa Maria, Huatulco, to see the church & a market. Oscar provided plenty of local knowledge and Pablo educated us and our small group about his family's coffee plantation. The coffee is incredible and I couldn't leave without taking some home.Highly recommended. Would do again. Latte, the puppy, stole the show.

We spent a lovely day with our guide from Top Tours Huatulco, Abigail or Abby. Abby spoke English well and we were able to use Google Translate a few times when the subject or works were more complicated. Abby also was patient and helpful with our Spanish and we were appreciative! We stopped to explore two towns before arriving at the Pablo's coffee cafe and plantation. Abby was welcoming and shared history and other helpful information about the area. The coffee plantation tour was educational and interesting. We learned a lot and will appreciate our coffee even more after this experience. Lunch back at the cafe was peaceful and delicious with even more information about roasting, distribution and sales. Thank you to Abby (and Pablo) for a wonderful day. We would book again with Abby.

Oscar is THE BEST! We booked him for airport pickup where he greeted us warmly with cold beers and a big smile! We scheduled a bay tour by boat but due to rough waters had to get creative. He graciously helped us to come up with an alternative plan and took us into La Crucecita for some shopping, La Entrega for awesome snorkeling (he even went out with us to show us the best spots and pointed out the different fish!), Bahia Maguey for lunch and then Playa Bocana for mud baths. Oscar is so knowledgeable of the area and clearly has a passion for welcoming visitors. We will absolutely book through him again when we come back!

Oscar provided a great tour. Highly recommend him. He makes sure you’re comfortable and knows his surroundings very well. He also provides photos of your experience so you don’t have to worry about carrying your phone with you. Wonderful experience!

This was hands down the most fun I've ever had on a excursion. Learnt so much about the community too. I cannot say enough about how amazing this day was. And for such an amazing price. The best host ever Eduardo.

This is was a great experience. While the coffee tour is the main attraction, the trip up the mountain was really cool. We were able to stop and see the different churches and town squares along the way. The food is 200 pesos, but it is well worth it, as it is a great home-cooked meal. The guides were great and we really enjoyed their hospitality.

A real must do. This was not only an incredibly insightful day of coffee discoveries but a perfect way to discover the Oaxaca mountains, eat top top caliber food, and learn about the Oaxaca region more generally.Oscar and Pablo are an incredible duo, each bringing their own expertise to the day. Stop debating and do this!!

My partner and I had an amazing time at the waterfalls with a few other folks and Oscar. So memorable. The water wasn't too deep (but deep enough to jump in), we went into and through a couple of caves, and were guided along the whole time which was very needed to know some of the hidden spots and where to avoid stepping. A great mix of relaxed pools, rushing waterfalls, & jumps for the more adventurous! Plus a delicious meal to close out the day! Thank you for sharing this space with us Oscar!

Had my experience with Saul who was great. Knowledge and accommodating to mobility issues. One of us couldn't swim and he made sure to lead us know where we could swim and what areas to stay away from.The food included was plentiful and delicious. Highly recommend.
