We visited Clay of Cappadocia in June 2026 with our 8-year-old son, who had never tried pottery before. He made a vase that we brought back to the United States. Our son enjoyed the workshop so much that he begged to return the next day, but we already had other plans. To make up for that, we attended a workshop when we returned to the United States. It was 5 times more expensive and had less one-on-one instructor time. If you are into pottery or thinking about trying it, this place is a good value and a great experience for all ages.

Very unique experience. The ritual was very spiritual and formal. The Dervish dancers were spectacular. It was beautiful. Strongly recommend this activity. They have a driver pick you up at your hotel so it made it very convenient.

I enjoyed my perfume making experience with AJ. She was kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful as she assisted me with curating a scent for my 30th birthday. It was an intimate experience that was absolutely worth my time and money. The selection of scents had something for everyone and I strongly recommend partaking in this activity.

The experience is quite beautiful, it's everything about peace and stillness while you watch the sema. The operator was very kind and he picked us up on time. They offered us a non alcoholic drink, it was not so good but bad either. I would recommend this experience to anyone who wants to learn about the dervish culture.

Magnificent! I highly recommend taking this pottery class. It exceeded my expectations. The family has been doing pottery for three generations and they are very knowledgeable about the history. This is a wonderful activity to do with family and you get to bring your artwork back with you!

Atreus Travel arranged this for us on our last night in Turkey, and it turned out to be the most memorable evening of the whole trip. The candlelit hall, the slow build of the music, then the dervishes spinning like something out of a dream nobody in the room spoke a word. Completely mesmerizing . ❤️‍🩹

I didn’t expect a dance performance booked through a tour company to feel this spiritual, but Atreus Travel picked a genuinely moving show. The stillness of the musicians, the reed flute, and then the endless turning of the dervishes, robes flaring like blooming flowers it felt sacred, not staged.🤍

This perfume making experience was exceptional and a good price too. My daughter (aged 13) and I absolutely loved it. It was on the lovely terrace of a hotel so easy to find. The set up was well set up, and looked lovely. Eren was a great host explaining everything clearly so we knew what to do. There were also great visuals as work mats. The activity was fun and everyone ended up with a unique perfume to take home. Eren helped us throughout with just the right balance of support and space to explore/make choices ourselves. Highly recommend to anyone looking at doing this.

This pottery workshop with Metin at the Kapadokya Comleksilik shop was easily one of the highlights of our time in Cappadocia. Metin is an excellent teacher: patient, welcoming, and clearly passionate about his craft. Even as beginners, we felt comfortable from the start, and he guided us step-by-step in creating our own pottery on the wheel. What makes this experience even more special is that it doesn’t end with shaping the clay. After creating your piece, you also get the chance to draw and paint pottery designs the same day, adding your own personal touch and creativity to the experience. It was both relaxing and incredibly fun.The shop itself is also worth visiting. There are three separate rooms filled with beautifully painted ceramic pottery, showcasing stunning craftsmanship and traditional designs. Walking through these rooms really gives you an appreciation for the artistry and history behind the work.Overall, this experience feels authentic and personal rather than touristy. Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or with family, this workshop offers a memorable cultural experience and a unique souvenir you create yourself.Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cappadocia!

What a fabulous experience! Metin was so lovely, he pickup us up and dropped us off at our hotel in Goreme. He showed us each how to make a item, I made a vase and hubby made a bowl. He showed us step by step how make it, then wrapped it up for us to take home. His family has a shop where you can also purchase items, we got some cool little coffee cups and a plate. Highly recommend this tour

Fun workshop! Shaping the clay then decorating the pieces took about an hour. We took them home even though they weren’t completely dry yet. They survived the trip home wrapped in bubble wrap. We enjoyed the experience.The owner was gracious and explained a bit about the history and how artisans make the pieces. Her son was the one helping us with the pottery. The store sells beautiful hand crafted plates, bowls, vases and tiles which are stunning pieces of art.
