Pamela was truly one of the highlights of our time in Albania. We spent several hours with her exploring Gjirokastër’s Old Town and bazaar, the castle, traditional Ottoman homes, and the Cold War Tunnel, and she brought every part of the city to life.What made Pamela so special was the depth of her knowledge. She has actually been involved in archaeological excavations at Gjirokastër Castle, so walking through it with her was an entirely different experience. She didn’t just give us dates and facts—she helped us understand how the castle evolved over centuries and how the different periods of Albanian history fit together.We especially loved the range of the tour. In just a few hours, we went from Ottoman-era homes and the cobbled streets of the bazaar to the enormous castle overlooking the valley and then underground into the Cold War Tunnel. Pamela was wonderful at putting everything into context and answering our many questions along the way.She was also warm, engaging and incredibly easy to spend time with. It felt much more like exploring Gjirokastër with someone who genuinely loves and understands the city than being led through a scripted tour.If you are visiting Gjirokastër, we cannot recommend Pamela highly enough. Having her as our guide completely changed how much we understood and appreciated this remarkable city.

We had a wonderful morning with Oresti, our guide, who expertly took us down the river. It was calm with just the right amount of action! We swam, jumped off a cliff and learnt how to guide the raft. Fabulous experience and highly recommended.

Nice and fun adventure, very much recommended. The guide is super friendly and the adventure was fun with break points where you could jump in the water from cliffs, take photos under the waterfall, swim in the river etc.

Besi was a really nice dude and a good guide. We saw some interesting places and learned a lot. It was a really hot day and he made sure that we could stop and relax, buy water or whatever we needed. We could ask him anything, and honestly, it felt like hanging out with a friend. Really recommend this guided tour.

In our 6 months of travel, this tour with Marco and Mario was our favorite. It felt like walking around town with a couple of knowledgable friends – as opposed to your typical, dry tour. We learned about the history of Gjirokaster, as well as what it's like to live there today. The bridge is cool, and Marco even spent a bit of extra time with us to show us some other sites. Highly recommended!

What made this tour so awesome was our guide, Arli. He was so knowledgeable and willing to share as we walked through the streets of Gjirokastra. In particular, we wanted to see the Ali Pasha Bridge. He was quick to explain that the terrain was difficult getting to the actual bridge so he took us through neighborhoods that led to a spectacular view of the bridge. He carefully explained the historical significance of all of the neighborhoods and the “bridge”. If you get the right tour guide, these tours are excellent!! We certainly did!!

Can't imagine a better way to explore the beautiful surroundings of Permet. Fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable guide who is happy to adapt to the group's needs or wishes wherever possible. The lunch we had was lovely too (nearly impossible to stop eating!). I highly recommend this tour.

Amazing experience the guide was great and the whole experience was outstanding

Great experience. Our guide, Adi, made rafting trip fun. Lot of positive vibes, laughs, but also explanations of the area. We made water fight with other boats, swam in the river, jumped to the water from cliff. Organisers offered us icecream and chocolate. We and our 3 kids (15, 13 and 10) liked the experience a lot.

It is probably best to do this tour in the morning before it gets hot. The walk up to the castle is not too bad but our guide gave us the option to get a taxi. Guide was very knowledgeable about the castle and its history. We actually opted to take a taxi down from the castle to the Skendulli house. Tour couldn’t have been better.
