One of our favorite experiences in Albania!

Such a special experience in Berat! This is much more than a cooking class. You’re welcomed into a family home and really made to feel like a guest rather than a customer. We loved cooking traditional Albanian dishes together, but even more than that, we loved the time spent talking, laughing and sharing a meal with the family. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming, including with our 2-year-old daughter who had the best time there too! It felt genuine, personal and full of warmth. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Albania !!!!

Albanian Traditional Dance and Meal

You cannot say you have experienced Albanian culture unless you have been to a traditional dance show. It was truely a great experience - first you get dressed up in Traditional costume before the show. The dancing, along with a superb storyline, all mixed up with audience participation in the dancing made for a wonderful evening of laughter and dance. We chose to have an Albanian meal after the show - 4 courses along with some wine just finished off the evening perfectly. Please contact the organisers before the show for any dietary or allergy requirements.

Great tour! We saw bits of the monastery and the bunkers that we would not have seen had we visited by ourselves. And the views over Saranda and the surrounding mountains were beautiful. It was interesting to hear about the communist period from the guide's personal family perspective.

The best cooking class in Berat!

We had an amazing experience with a private cooking class with Qato tours. We were two families who joined the Qato tour family for a night, cooking, sharing, laughing - we cooked 3 courses, homemade meatballs, stuffed eggplants and homemade byrek (traditionnal spinach pie).This is a lovely family business, we met all 3 generations involved, our hosts invite us to their home where we cooked with them in the kitchen and then shared the meal together on their terrasse. We learned a lot on the Albanian culture, history and heritage.Definitely a highlight of our trip, thank you so much for organizing this for us and going out of your way to pick up the whole group from Berat!!

It's ok

The rafting was really nice — calm and enjoyable, but still with enough excitement to make it fun. There were three guides with our group. We had a super nice and funny one, although I can’t really comment on the others as I didn’t interact with them much.Overall, everything was well organized and the whole experience was relaxed and enjoyable. Definitely a nice activity if you’re looking for something fun without being too extreme.

Great private tour from Vlorë!

Our guide, Klaudio, was knowledgeable and fluent in both English and Italian. He was happy to stop whenever we needed, whether for the toilet, water, or a quick espresso, so we never felt rushed. Pick up and drop off was easy and convenient. We really enjoyed the sites, and the winery visit was the highlight of the day. A relaxed, well-organized tour we’d happily book again.

Tour is really good if...

Tour is really good if you want a quick way to see a different part of Albania! A little longer in Berat would be good as once you get to Berat after the castle tour, we got some lunch and that only left around a hour of our free time left which didn’t give you much time to explore Berat but a very beautiful place from what we saw! Ervin, our guide, was really knowledgeable, answering all questions people had and was really friendly! The WhatsApp group was also really good, and was great to get recommendations etc for food and so on - definitely made the trip a lot easier to navigate!

Ohrid is amazing but don't expect to have time to swim - still recommend

Tour guide was great and asked them to stamp our passports when we crossed the border which he didn't have to do. With a group our size, I think it went pretty well. I really appreciated that they hired a local guide in Ohrid to take us around and she was fantastic, and the boat ride was also great. I think there was some confusion about whether there was time alotted for actual swimming (which there really was not if you wanted to not be rushed and be able to eat lunch and relax). I think maybe an extra hour in St. Naums and making it clean that this was the better place to swim and where to go to get changed and everything would have been helpful since the description mentions swimming. There was also an issue with the bathroom at St Naums so we spent about 25 mins of our 45 of limited free time waiting in a bathroom line and eventually had to use the mens to make it back to the bus only a few minutes late (which was a bit uncomfortable since men were still using urinals). But the bathrooms can be controlled by the tour guide - I just think a little more planning around the bathrooms and swimming element would be ideal since it seems like one of many selling points in the trip descriptions. But we are overall happy we went with Ohrid being the only really great part of the trip.

Valuable day trip

It was a Very nice trip. The bus was comfortable, the guide was skilled and gave lot of information about Albania and the sites. Only the pick up needs improvement. E stayed 30 minutes on the sun. I understand that traffic conditions are changing, but all of my tours was delayed minimum 30 minutes.

Best Sightseeingtour

We saw lots of different sights and our tourguide Albert told us many interesting historical facts about the city. He had a good timing so we all could take photos or had a little freetime but not too much so it would be boring. The trip was definetly worth the money.
