A lovely family Camino with a purpose
This was a wonderful family trip . My two children and spouses and two teenage grandsons. We walked the same Camino Frances route I had taken several years with my lovely wife who passed away last year. All the arrangements with Camino Ways were beautifully organised. The hotels were simple, clean and welcoming. The food was excellent too. Most if all this was a real quality experience , a bit poignant for me but a super adventure we all shared and loved

Very smooth experience. No problems with baggage transfers between hotels and very nice hotels along the way. Had no issues with Camino Ways, but wife had severe dehydration and heat exhaustion so some of the walking, and specifically some of the hills were challenging and having hotels pre-booked meant less flexibility. However, due to peak travel season, this cannot be avoided as without reservations many of the hotels would be unavailable. The Parador in Baiona was amazing, would recommend getting there a day early and booking a room the night before would definitely be worthwhile

This was my first solo trip abroad and I did know what to expect. Our guide set a high bar for future guided trips I may take. Everything about the trip was excellent from lodging, to the food and to the communication. Our guide was phenomenal- he was well informed about the journey we were undertaking, he purposefully worked to build a community among our group of 10; he was acutely aware of each member of the group and tended to each of us: whether offering words of motivation or encouragement. My group was fortunate to have his expertise in guiding us through our journey.

I hired the Path from Sarria in a group. Naturally, when going alone, fears, uncertainties, etc., come to mind. But now I can say that from minute one it has been an exceptional experience. The organization by the agency is unbeatable, and the guides (Damián and Hugo) are exceptional, with outstanding professionalism. Always providing guidance, advice, caring for everyone, waiting for us halfway through the stage, at the end, every few kilometers, etc. It has been an experience that I will always remember, and within me remains the magic of the path, which transformed the kilometers of distance into kilometers of lived experiences and the slopes into plains. "Do not come to the path seeking answers. Come with an open heart and mind. You will be surprised by what you can find," and so it is. A thousand thanks for everything. I'm so glad we chose CaminoWays to help us plan our Camino. We were 8 family members, so coordinating the lodging was a big job. The places that CaminoWays selected were really great. They all had wonderful customer service and really great food. While they were usually a bit out of the way (outside of the major towns), that added to their charm. One thing, be prepared for no air conditioning. We had asked for that in our lodgings but we realized that AC just doesn't exist in the majority of places on the Camino. And really, except for one night, we really didn't need it. One other thing, I do hope they implement a dedicated app in the future. It will make getting info about the different guest houses out to a larger group easier.If we do another Camino, I would definitely choose CaminoWays to help plan it.

We just made the way from Tui, not the first time we traveled with them, and zero problems. We have not had to take care of anything other than walking and enjoying the tour. This was such an amazing experience! I was very impressed with how this trip was planned and executed. Our guide, Mark, was amazing and so knowledgeable about everything we saw. He was very helpful with restaurant recommendations for lunches and snacks outside of the provided meals. The hotels that we stayed in were very accommodating and each included meal offered choices of local foods. I would definitely recommend booking a trip through Camino Ways. They made everything so easy so we could just enjoy the experience.
