Cant reccomend this enough. Kevin was great providing us with great commentary and entertainment. A good choice of stops with lunch at a pub, although it was a bit messy how they handled payment which was not the tour operators fault. Worth going just to hear Kevin sing!

Oh what a wonderful day
We were lucky enough to have Henry as our guide in March 2026, and the rainy day was instantly brightened by his beaming smile when he picked us up at our accommodation. Henry gave us a wonderful day filled with wit, charm, and knowledge, and we enjoyed every moment. We also had plenty of time to ourselves at the various stops; we can highly recommend this tour in general, and Henry as a guide in particular.

Perfect e-bike tour
We were a group of six ladies who had never e-biked before and there was definitely some trepidation before we started. However, our guide Amanda was totally amazing. She made us all very comfortable with the bikes, she was so kind and patient. It was a perfect way to see the incredible scenery of the area, beautiful views at every turn. Amanda was very knowledgeable and was able to tell us so much history along with some legends and myths thrown in. Having rain turn into sun just made it even better! We cannot recommend this tour highly enough. Thank you Amanda!!

Cathal was a wonderful guide and host. We had rain and clouds but the experience was rewarding and fun. In our group of 8, no one complained about the poor conditions once we got going (they were sniveling a bit before we got started as it rained harder than all the time we had been in Ireland). The bikes were in great shape.

It has been a couple of weeks since our all day tour "Sliabh Liag Cliffs and Glencolmcille" with Henry. We have reflected a lot and decided this was one of our BEST memories of our two week trip to this amazing country. Henry was so incredibly kind, accommodating and knowledgable about each site we visited. It felt like the perfect balance of time speaking with him, and time he allotted for my husband and I to explore locations alone. I think the best part though was just chatting with him about every day life in Ireland. We found so many similarities to our own life/experiences. The cost was more than reasonable for an 8 hour, totally customized tour. His car couldn't have been more comfortable and he frequently checked in to make sure we had what we needed. He also provided recommendations (which we absolutely took) for other things to see/experience for the rest of our trip. I am confident Henry could provide an amazing experience for anyone. We hope to make it back to Ireland one day and when we do, we will book another experience with Donegal Tour Guide. Thank you so much for a wonderful day, Henry!

We had an excellent private (2 persons) tour with Chieftain Tours. We explained our likes and dislikes and how we would like to vary from the timeline of the typical tour itinerary we booked. Joe was GREAT about coming up with new stops catered to our preferences to fill the time of the places we wanted to skip.He provided wonder history and insights about the region, and always volunteered to play photographer throughout the day. One request we had was to take a photo with a sign that said Letterkenny, as we had family from that area. He found a great photo op w the English and Irish spelling in front of a beautiful church.

My husband and I spent two fabulous days on private tours with Henry around Donegal, Sliabh Liag, the Gaeltecht area and Glenveagh National Park. Henry is an absolutely delightful person to spend with! We were, first of all, very glad NOT to be driving the super narrow roads and just enjoyed the spectacular scenery. Driving with Henry was like having our own personal seminar about Irish history of the area and country as well as funny and fascinating stories about Henry's life in Ireland and local lore. He was flexible, considerate, personable and very, very good at his job!! We highly recommend Henry for tours anywhere in Ireland and have already planned our next visit with Henry as our guide. We had a great experience even though the weather was against us. Admission for the bus is very reasonable. We spent about 4 hours here and could have stayed longer. Staff in visitors centre and coffee shop at castle very friendly and helpful.
