An unforgettable experience
As a couple, we booked the hippo submarine boat trip setting off from Lindos, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our holiday. It's a wonderful experience for couples, but watching the families around us enjoying themselves just added to the atmosphere — kids laughing, parents relaxing, everyone having a brilliant time together.The trip actually starts with a beautiful 30-minute coach ride straight from our hotel, which was a lovely scenic journey in itself. At 35 euros, it was incredible value — especially when some of the normal boat trips we saw started at 65 euros. It truly feels like 2 trips in one as you can enjoy relaxing up top or down below looking beneath the sea.One of the best parts is the underwater viewing — you get to see right under the ocean, watching the fish and sea life as you cruise along. It was magical for us as a couple, and we loved seeing the kids on board pressed up against the windows, completely mesmerised.
Safety is clearly a top priority for the crew. They provide life jackets, floats, and snorkels, and they genuinely keep watch over everyone in the water, making sure no one swims too far out. It was reassuring to see how attentive they were with the families on board too.
There are two stop-offs for swimming, giving everyone a chance to cool off in the sea, and onboard they serve drinks and snacks, plus you get 2 free soft drinks included.A special mention has to go to the captain, Taso (pronounced Tasso), who owns the boat — he was such a friendly, warm guy and really made the day feel personal and special. He also did a great job selling me a t-shirt. It turned out to be great quality I the end.Highly recommend this trip — brilliant value, beautiful scenery, and a real feel-good atmosphere for couples and families alike!Thanks gents
