Top Dana Point Tours & Sightseeing

If you're visiting Dana Point — or even if you live there — book a walking tour with Lezlie. Full stop. We came in as a couple looking for something a little different, and left with stunning photos, a much richer appreciation for the area, and a list of local gems we never would have found on our own. Lezlie's knowledge of Dana Point is impressive — she wove in the history of the legendary surf scene and even the surprising connection to the creator of SpongeBob SquarePants, which was a genuine delight we didn't see coming. Her eye for photography is exceptional. She found spots that showcased the most spectacular California scenery and framed shots of my wife and me that we'll genuinely treasure. What made it work wasn't just her technical skill — it's that she's warm and funny, so what could have felt staged or posed instead felt completely natural and spontaneous. We were laughing our way through most of it. Beyond the photos, she was a fountain of local knowledge: restaurant recommendations, the best coffee spots, hiking trails, kayaking — the kind of insider tips you'd only get from someone who truly loves where they live. Two hours flew by faster than we could believe, and by the end we could see there was still so much more of Dana Point to explore. We're already planning our next trip — and another tour with Lezlie is already on the itinerary. Absolutely worth every penny. Don't hesitate.

Just experienced an unforgettable walking tour through beautiful Dana Point! 🌊☀️Lezlie made the entire experience so engaging—sharing local history, hidden spots, and fun facts you’d never discover on your own. Every stop had something unique, from stunning coastal views to charming streets and scenic overlooks. One of the best parts? The guide took amazing photos along the way! 📸 It was so nice to be fully present and still come away with professional-quality pictures to remember the day.If you’re visiting Dana Point and want a relaxed, informative, and picture-perfect experience, I highly recommend booking a walking tour like this. Totally worth it!

Our guide was fantastic! He was very committed to us having a wonderful time. He encouraged questions regarding all the sea creatures and plants that were visible during low tide. My daughter experienced being touched by a small octopus under the guide’s guidance. The guide was fascinated with our finds and enthusiastically explained what it was. He then gave an incredible performance in the cave. This adventure provides our family with joy when we recall the experience.

Captain Will Radford was knowledgable, fun, funny and amazing. Tidepools, songs, dancing, anemones, pelicans, oh my!

Being away from the heat of AZ and riding effortlessly along the ocean with cool breezes. Awesome! The bikes were easy to ride and navigate around the 4th of July crowds.

It took a moment to get used to the electric bikes. However, once we got the hang of it they were a lot of fun to ride. The route to San Clement and the pier was beautiful. I wish that we had ridden further, but did not know how far the path went along the beach. We rented for 4 hours and that was a perfect amount of time as it included lunch for us at the San Clemente Pier - LOL. If you rent for 2 hours, that would not have been enough. The only recommendation I would make is to ask for mirrors on the bike handles so that you can see what is behind you. While there are paths that are not on the PCH, once in the San Clement neighborhood with several electric cars, it would've been nice to know what was behind us. All in all a great deal of fun!

The guided tour of San Diego was simply excellent! Whether it was Balboa Park, the Mount Soledad Veterans Memorial, the Embarcadero or Little Italy, or La Jolla (whew), we were right on top of it with ample time to walk around and get a feel for things. But what I really can't believe is how much I learned! While Joseph was right there each time with his facts, I particularly enjoyed the stories he wove about the history as well as the personalities of old San Diego. As basically a native of San Diego, he had a lot of personal insights that kept things lively!

Learning about San Diego was the best part of this trip. Joseph was a delight. He took us and taught us about many destinations and locations in San Diego. After this trip, we want to go back to San Diego and revisit many of the places again.

Completely loved this ride. I was so impressed!!! Everything gorgeous with 360 views from the Malibu hills.A total pleasure and really exceeded all expectation!!! Jason the Guide is the funnest, so positive and full of that amazing enthusiasm for mountain biking and sharing that love. I felt really comfortable trying a new Ebike for the first time with him. He has a coaches encouraging demeanor, he elevated every aspect. I recommend this to anyone!!

Lezlie gave us an incredible walking tour of Dana Point that went way beyond anything we expected. Her knowledge of the area's history was deep and genuine and she brought it to life in a way that was engaging and memorable. One of the highlights was learning about the woman who was the real driving force behind the local real estate market, only to have the men around her take the credit. That story alone was worth the tour. She took us to Baby Beach and explained its history beautifully. But what truly set Lezlie apart is that she's also a talented photographer who knows this coastline like the back of her hand. She knew exactly where the best light was at every stop, and she captured stunning photos of us along the way. For once I got to actually BE in the pictures instead of always being behind the camera. That gift is priceless. If you want a tour that combines local history, hidden gems, and gorgeous photos you'll actually treasure — Lezlie is the one. Highly recommend her without reservation.

We LOVE Lezlie!!! We had such a blast. The tour was so fun and engaging, Dana Point is stunning and Lezlie had so many fun facts and made learning so fun!She made us feel SO comfortable while she took our photos during the tour and even helped us with poses. We will definitely be framing some of our photos. She met us right outside the parking structure and was waiting for us when we arrived. She even gave us a ton of tips and recommendations for the rest of our stay in Dana Point! We just loved it!!!

Definitely a lot of fun. We didn't do it with a guide, due to timing..... however I'm sure the guide would have made the experience so much more exciting and memorable.Strongly recommend taking hiking/tennis shoes. If you arrive at medium tide, like we did, then be prepared to walk barefoot for a section or change into water shoes.

Tandem electric bike with throttle is the way to go with all the hills around San Clemente. Danny was gracious and flexible.

Place is not on the popular side, not on the boat side. It's on the rocks side. Better go there in the morning, otherwise waves tides will make you hard to walk on the rocks road, easy get wet to your shoes and pants. But it's worthy to see the cave.

I absolutely loved this experience with my family and friends! Especially, going around the Harbor and avoiding traffic and parking. My 6 year old daughter is now convincing to get our own!We took the scenic trail (which is everywhere in Dana Point) and stopped at Wind and Sea for cocktails and appetizers and rode back with storage area in the bikes to keep the food from flying away.Riding back which was uphill felt super easy and did not have to peddle at all. Super smooth and powerful enough to carry myself after some delicious food.Family was comfortable riding on the cushion seats and felt safe and secure the whole time.We can’t wait to book our next rental and soon be able to purchase our own Pedego bikes! Thanks again Danny for all the guidance! We had a blast!

Joseph with Best Coast Tours was our guide and driver for a day tour of San Diego, and he provided a great experience. After booking with Cool Destinations, I emailed Best Coast Tours about the pickup location. Joseph called me within an hour. His communication was very good, and he selected a pickup point very convenient to our Orange County accomodations. On the tour Joseph was well informed, had a good sense of humor, and was a careful driver. The van was clean and comfortable, and the provided water and snacks were appreciated. Highly recommend.
