This was a wonderful introduction to Sri Lankan history as well as an excellent tour of the city! Our guide’s English was good and he took excellent care of us on this first venture! 💖

Excellent experience!! My guide Chadhu was respectful and full of information. Very very helpful!! 10/10 . Guide at sigirya, Tilak was also exceptional!! A definite book. However the village experience/ safari was not required after the long temple and sigriya climb. Too tired to do it!

Very informative and friendly guide. Knowledgeable and interesting. Enjoyed the morning. Recommend to do this

We had a wonderful Sigiriya and Dambulla day tour with my family, and it was truly a memorable experience. The entire trip was well-organized, comfortable, and enjoyable from start to finish.A special thank you to our driver, Nuwan, for his excellent service, friendly attitude, and safe driving throughout the journey. He was very knowledgeable, helpful, and ensured that we had a pleasant experience at every stop.We would also like to extend our gratitude to the Beyond Escapes team for their excellent arrangements and professionalism. Everything was handled smoothly, making our family trip stress-free and enjoyable.Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the beauty and cultural heritage of Sigiriya and Dambulla. We look forward to traveling with Beyond Escapes again in the future!

The trip was absolutely fantastic! Baby elephants were the highlight of our trip! Now, climbing Sigiriya rock was a little difficult due to humidity and heat. I recommend doing this tour in December - January, when Sigiriya region is more cool. I also wish lunch was a little better, had buffet option. Overall, the trip was fantastic. Highly recommend!

Great tour with Ajeet. Got to see many interesting parts of Colombo, including the port, old hotel, mosque, dutch hospital. He had great English and was very knowledgeable. He ended up dropping me 1.5 hours to my hotel in Bentota for a reasonable price. Would recommend Ajeet and the tour!

This was an amazing overview of Sri Lankan history. Sheer takes the time to set the stage with who Sri Lankans are as a people and then the walk through Colombo Fort and other areas really shows the influence of colonial history and how it shaped Sri Lankan history. Definitely recommend this experience, especially early in your Colombo visit.

I toured Sri Lanka with the very delightful Dhamita in 2018 and it still remains one of the best experiences of my life! (So much so, that I am leaving this very positive review in 2022...apologies for the massive delay, Dhamita!) Dhamita communicated very well via text, picked me up on time in his luxurious Air Conditioned (!) car and we set off on a 5-hour drive to glorious Sigiriya. Although Sigiriya was my destination, what made this trip absolutely remarkable were all the stops on the way there and back...an invaluable experience. With my consent, we stopped at various temples, food stands, metal, wood working, furniture and jewelry shops, I got to meet the most amazing people, and tasted the most delicious authentic local cuisine... a truly genuine experience! When (not if) I return to Sri Lanka, I will be contracting Dhamita and Beyond Escapes as my guide again! Maybe to Kandy next time :) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Godfrey escorted me and my husband around Negombo. He went over and above regular service. He took us to a speciality supermarket for herbal medicine and also to the market to look for curry leaves. His knowledge and information shared was terrific.Well done Godfrey. We hope to meet again. Thank you for taking us safely back to the airport.Annie and Craig Loftus Scotland.

Imran was an absolutely amazing tour guide. Took us to all the right places and provided lots of information about the locations and sites we were visiting. The vehicle was large, clean, and had air conditioning. I recommend this tour!

The Colombo city tour was very informative. We enjoyed visiting both the Buddhist and Hindu Temples. Our guide Kanishka was very friendly.

A great trip. Krish and the team were awesome. Everything was super organized and the sights were well worth the drive! Would def recommend for solos.

The highlight of the trip was Rukshan, our driver and guide. He was respectful, courteous, and eager to please. Rukshan's driving was perfect and he abided by the allocated time for each attraction. The choice of attractions was well-chosen as there is so much to see and do in the area.

Shiraz, our guide, was excellent. He is very knowledgeable on all topics and offered a perfect experience. He treated us to coconut and snacks. As a native of Colombo, he shared great knowledge. Recommend him as your guide

Our Colombo tour with Ajeet was really great, he was very informative on the culture and history of Sri Lanka. We did this tour at the beginning of our visit to the country and Ajeet made the tour relevant to this. Ajeet was interesting and engaging throughout, and went above and beyond to show us Colombo. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Colombo.

Ajeet is a great guide, patient and loves talking about Sri Lanka and it's history. This is a fantastic tour if you want to learn and ask heaps of questions. 10/10 would do again
