Excellent experience!! My guide Chadhu was respectful and full of information. Very very helpful!! 10/10 . Guide at sigirya, Tilak was also exceptional!! A definite book. However the village experience/ safari was not required after the long temple and sigriya climb. Too tired to do it!

The trip was absolutely fantastic! Baby elephants were the highlight of our trip! Now, climbing Sigiriya rock was a little difficult due to humidity and heat. I recommend doing this tour in December - January, when Sigiriya region is more cool. I also wish lunch was a little better, had buffet option. Overall, the trip was fantastic. Highly recommend!

Our guide Kenneth arrived as stated and picked us up earlier at our request from outside our hotel the Granbell in Columbo as we wanted to miss the rush hour traffic and mid morning sun, right from the start he was very friendly, polite, knowledgeable and informative about the places/towns we were driving through.We arrived at Sigiriya in good time and were shown by Kenneth where to get our tickets, it was $36 for an adult ticket which I feel is rather expensive, they didn't take cards just cash, rupees or dollars, the steps up are quite steep at the beginning and by the time I got to the paws i and many others were already out of breath, the climb is not as hard as I thought it would be but it is quite scary in places as most of the 1,200+ steps are metal and see though with gaps in between, the handrail is thin and the staircase narrow, people are walking both up and down the stairs but were very patient and polite, I did start feeling unwell and dizzy but after a rest at the top, water and lots of photos we were ready to come down, we were back in the car in less than 2 hours.The tombs at Dambulla were interesting but there were a lot of people around and photographs had to be taken quickly, after walking up the steps in Sigiriya the 350+ steps were definitely not leg friendly in places, before going home we went to the Cemetery, it was $3 to get in and quite honestly there was not much to see there, it took less than 10 minutes to walk round but it was clean and tidy and the staff there were friendly.If you choose to go on this tour we highly recommend asking if Kenneth can take you, lots of happy memories, very tired legs but anther perfect day spent in Sri Lanka.

We booked a tour through Cool Destinations for a full day tour from Colombo to visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress and Dambulla Cave Temples. Our guide, Kenneth, was great! He made sure we knew exactly where to go and helped us buy entry tickets at each place. We were picked up at 6am and arrived back in Colombo about 6.30pm. We thoroughly enjoyed our day exploring some of Sri Lanka's beauty and culture.

I toured Sri Lanka with the very delightful Dhamita in 2018 and it still remains one of the best experiences of my life! (So much so, that I am leaving this very positive review in 2022...apologies for the massive delay, Dhamita!) Dhamita communicated very well via text, picked me up on time in his luxurious Air Conditioned (!) car and we set off on a 5-hour drive to glorious Sigiriya. Although Sigiriya was my destination, what made this trip absolutely remarkable were all the stops on the way there and back...an invaluable experience. With my consent, we stopped at various temples, food stands, metal, wood working, furniture and jewelry shops, I got to meet the most amazing people, and tasted the most delicious authentic local cuisine... a truly genuine experience! When (not if) I return to Sri Lanka, I will be contracting Dhamita and Beyond Escapes as my guide again! Maybe to Kandy next time :) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Godfrey escorted me and my husband around Negombo. He went over and above regular service. He took us to a speciality supermarket for herbal medicine and also to the market to look for curry leaves. Imran was an absolutely amazing tour guide. Took us to all the right places and provided lots of information about the locations and sites we were visiting. The vehicle was large, clean, and had air conditioning. I recommend this tour!

A great trip. Krish and the team were awesome. Everything was super organized and the sights were well worth the drive! Would def recommend for solos.

The highlight of the trip was Rukshan, our driver and guide. He was respectful, courteous, and eager to please. Rukshan's driving was perfect and he abided by the allocated time for each attraction. The choice of attractions was well-chosen as there is so much to see and do in the area.

We took the day tour to Dambulla and Sigirya rock with Diyath. He picked us up at our hotel. Everything went as planned. On the way Diyath taught us many things concerning culture and life in Sri Lanka. He was a perfect guide and a good driver. We can only recommend the tour with him!

A long day due to the distance and traffic but well worth it to view these fascinating sites. Excellent Driver and Guide - Ayela from whom I learned a great deal about Sri Lanka.

One of Srilanka’s outstanding and must visit attractions, The eight wonder of the world - Sigirya Rock Fortress also known as Lion Rock. On day 3, we went to climb the Sigirya Fort, There were around 1,200 steps which took around 2 hours to reach the top of the rock to enjoy awesome breathtaking and panormic views.

We had a private tour from Kandy to Sigyria and Dambulla cave temple, the tour was very good, both guide Hanushka and the driver were kind and knowledgeable, they came on time and the guide gave us s lot of information, we also really liked the lunch, we could choose what to take (buffet) and it was typical Sri Lankan cuisine ;)

Our guide Thusara was a very knowledgeable and intelligent. He has renovated the trip itinerary to include places that were not even mentioned so that we get even more wholesome experience of Southern Sri Lanka. Throughout the trip he was very compassionate and energetic and has beyond what would normally be expected from a tour guide. He wished our day end with wide smile and "Eid Mubarak", which was something that truly made my parents smile and talk about after the trip. I will definitely use this company/s service (and preferably look out for Thusara) in the future when I visit Sri Lanka again. Take lots of love!
