This was an excellent and memorable experience. My husband and I really appreciated learning more about Ecuadorian foods and delicious unique Andean fruits. We will definitely be making some of the recipes we made during the cooking class. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our experience at Palo Verde Boat Tours. This is a well run family business that provides an authentic local experience. We did the 11 am tour and had lunch after. I recommend that everyone who does the tour books the lunch. It’s worth it! Probably the most authentic local food we had the whole trip. Patricia and her team work really hard to make the visit worthwhile.Access is vis gravel road once you leave the main highway. There are a few kilometres (miles) of road that are a little rougher - not terrible at all - more than worth it! Not something that should detract from the experience. 4WD not required.

The experience was great! My guide was very knowledgeable and passionate, spoke great English, and I got to learn how to taste different notes in different coffees. The experience was also beginner friendly, giving you new knowledge without expecting you to have a coffee background. I was also treated with a coffee and pastry at the end of the tour which were great. Would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who has an interest in the background of the coffee they drink, and to be treated with great service!

This tour was incredible, the guides were so friendly, knowledgeable, showed us a lot of wildlife in the Tempisque river, they took good care of us and made us an incredible lunch. Very serene boat ride. 10/10 recommend!

This was a highlight of our entire Peruvian vacation! Alonso is an amazing guide who taught us so much about food in Arequipa as well as the city itself. We were honored to meet him and experience this delicious food. Thank you Alonso for an unforgettable experience!

We had a fabulous afternoon with Alonso who is an excellent guide. Make sure you go hungry as there is course after course and we ate pretty constantly for 3 hours. Went to the market then to a number of different restaurants, all interesting and all delicious. Our group tour was just the two of us! Highly recommend.

Tour was fabulous! The tour guide, Jose, was very knowledgeable of the area and gave us a thorough history of Belize on the way there and back (1.5 hours each way). They had the zip lining down to a science. You moved through the jungle quickly and I felt like each technician was knowledgeable and safety conscious. Our guide throughout the hiking and tubing was a wealth of information about the vegetation and cave, also. The lunch was relaxing and delicious.

I found Maipo Valley Wine Tours by chance when searching for wine tours near Santiago that included children’s activities. I was looking for something that would suit the wide range of ages in our family (5-84), and Juan pulled together an amazing itinerary: a traditional Chilean breakfast at Connie’s house/art studio, horse riding for the younger ones with Adolfo (the most gentle Huaso you could ever hope to meet), a delicious open air BBQ manned by Felipe, a quick visit to the vineyard, and then honey tasting and an apiary excursion with Claudio to round it all off. We were accompanied by Gerald, our bi-lingual guide, the entire time, and travelled as a private family group in a comfortable van. The entire day was a joy from start to finish. It was truly unique and unforgettable experience - one that I am sure we will cherish for many years to come!

This was such a good experience. The tour of the market was so interesting and we got to try several local fruits. The food in the class was amazing. They made sure to explain the steps so you can prepare everything again on your own. I would book early during your stay since you will learn about a lot of local foods you will later find in restaurants.

We had an amazing afternoon with Margola, Sylvia and Andres as they shared their love and knowledge of local foods, customs and culture. We enjoyed the visit to the central market and learning about and tasting native fruits. The cooking class was amazing. We learned so much about local dishes, ingredients and cooking techniques. The dishes we learned to make were delicious and they were able to accommodate for one of our group who is vegan. We would definitely recommend this experience!

We took a private tour at the end of July 2026, with my family and a friend and his family. We had 3 kids, the youngest being 7 and everyone had a great time. We drove from Playa Conchal the morning of the tour and Waze was very accurate (took about an hour and 20 minutes to get there). The drive was fairly easy with a couple of short sections of dirt roads.The tour started with some juice, coffee and a tortilla making demonstration (that was super interesting). We then drove down to the boat in our own vehicles (about a 10 minute drive) and met our boat driver. About a minute away from the dock we saw our first Basilisk (one of many), which was just the beginning of seeing many birds and animals. Our guide Ruben, was amazing and still have no idea how he saw all the animals that we did. Our boat driver also found many animals as well (don't have his name). The laser pointer really helped us to locate the animals as everything blends into the environment really, really well. We saw many cool birds, bats, crocodiles, iguanas, basilisks and monkeys. Toward the end of the tour, they let our kids drive the boat which they had fun doing.We then returned to the office/kitchen and had lunch. All the other reviews are spot on as the food was fantastic!! We then got to watch a demonstration on pottery and that too was very interesting and informative, we learned a lot! The whole experience was about 3 and a half hours and we enjoyed every minute of it. Everyone we interacted with was really friendly, helpful and a pleasure to be around. We would highly recommend this tour and can't say enough good things about them!!
