I took my husband and 20 year old daughter on a half day canyoning trip to barranco Ajan. I chose this one for the level of difficulty and fun…rappelling, slides and jumps up to 10 m. It is 1.5 hours drive from Bilbao to meeting point. Once there you are provided with 5mm wetsuit (which you will need!) and harness. Our guide Alvaro had only a few words of English and us only a few words of Spanish but we managed well despite the language barrier! Good sign language LOL. It was sooooo fun! Beautiful canyon…like a movie set! Alvaro was careful with safety and there was always an option not to jump though no one took it ! We had been canyoning before and this was the best one yet! Highly recommended . And Alvaro took photos and videos then sent them to us so no camera required. Bring cash to pay the balance (and tip) …no credit card facilities onsite.

Experience worth living The tour is fully adapted for people with reduced mobility. The Cristina guide is an excellent communicator, funny and tolerant of the needs of all visitors. They also have more types of visit, such as via ferrata, with specialized guides We definitely recommend it

Together with my 10-year-old son I joined a canyoning (beginners) tour. We enjoyed it very much partly because of the expertise of the guide. Everything went very relaxed and he continuously made sure he felt safe. During the beginner tour you can choose between strumming (rappel), sliding or jumping. We opted for the latter and had a jump of 2 meters, 5 meters and as a final 8 meters. Also been several waterfalls. Including walking to the start 2.5 hours busy. Highly recommended and a very good organization.

A very beautiful place with spectacular figures formed by the stalactites and stalagmites, some of which joined together.

This was a stunning day tour which packed in some amazing sites just an hour from Santander. The had a truly knowledgeable guide who worked very long and hard giving us every detail and also places we could look at when we had spare rest time whilst on the tour. Would not miss the Gaudi house in Santillana or the little town and its surroundings. Well worth the day out. 10/10 Thank you Guy & Kate

The cave was really fantastic. The guidance was also very experienced. Everything happened Safe, relax and they take their time for you. There were four of us and that made everything very compact. Was really nice.

Great experience, our instructor, Nando, has made us feel safe at all times... we had never done a caving dive until today!!! The cave is spectacular, Nando has explained every detail to us, he has taken photos... a 10, we will repeat for sure.

Lots of complete information, they orient you to the surroundings and the visit does not involve much walking. They gave us a book with information about Santoña, it is not about listening to someone talk the whole time, it is also just looking. We watched a 4 min video at the factory and they are open to questions. They were very kind and attentive.

The tour was fantastic, Maria was very knowledgeable and helpful guide. We don’t speak Spanish but Maria explained everything in English. The Soplao Cave was incredible, superb experience but for Spanish speakers.

Have seen a recent review which noted a bad experience, I’m glad to say our experience was entirely different and found it all very positive and a good way to see the caves . Good trip and lovely guide Gabriella who had a wealth of knowledge. We had a minibus to the caves and they added in a quick viewing stop on the way which was great( added a picture below). No pictures in the cave as this is not allowed . Lovely group and smooth transition.The tour guides speak amazing English, which we are grateful for as we cannot speak Spanish. But be mindful that the guides do not come into the caves as it says the tour in the cave is in Spanish. This is stated in the information so we should have brushed up on some Spanish before . However despite this, the guide made every effort to give us all the information beforehand and were able to enjoy the caves.We did multiple trips with this company and have had a great experience each time , so mucho grasias again!

Our experience was canyoning. In the ravine of Aján, initiation level. It was me and my young son (14 years old). We had a great time (although the truth is that the last jump, ten meters in a pool; I dared not do it, my son, yes, without problem). A more than reasonable price, they give you all the necessary equipment (must-have, go with appropriate shoes, is the only thing they do not provide), and the Guide, Yuri, charming and superprofessional. We have yet to try the via ferratas and, perhaps one day, caving :-)

Sergio was a great guide. Some challenging jumps and repels always communicated well and kept us safe. With 4 teenage boys that can be a real challenge.
