This is an enjoyable and informative tour. Our guide was a native of the area and had a great understanding of its history. Also, easy to talk to and ask questions.

I highly recommend Best Slovakia Tours to book a trip. This is the 2nd year we have booked a private tour for my husband and I to Slovakia and other countries with them. The owner, Peter, is a joy to work with. He makes planning the trip so easy and truly tailors the trip for sights and activities which meet our interests. He understands the type of accommodations we like and the hotels have been exceptional. I'm normally very hands on when planning a trip but Peter did such a wonderful job last year, this year I just trusted in his suggestions and didn't research or question any of the plans he made for our trip. I just gave him a green light for activities and hotels and we were very pleased with everything.This year we spent 18 days touring Slovakia, Austria, Slovenia and Croatia with our exceptional private guide Martin. We stayed in Bratislava for 4 days using it as our base for traveling to nearby areas doing genealogy research. Martin was a huge help in our effects and I believe he had as much fun as we did with it. (Last year Martin was very instrumental in finding information I had been seeking for 15 years). We uncovered new mysteries which our schedule did not allow time to find answers for them so we are going back next year to do more research.After that we went on a tour of Austria, Slovenia and Croatia. Martin is an exceptional guide. He is very knowledgeable, knows history of the lands, is interesting and he is a lot of fun. Martin is also very considerate. He is always mindful of our needs and takes exceptional care of us. One simple example: we were walking on a wall in Croatia on a hot day - Martin gave me an umbrella to protect me from the sun.We cannot say enough good things about Martin and Peter. They feel like family. We even had the honor to go to Martin's for a BBQ and meet his lovely wife and adorable children. I first made communication with Peter through a highly respected Slovak genealogist. When I contacted him about planning a trip to Slovakia, he referred me to Peter and I am certainly glad he did. We have enjoyed our trips with Best Slovakia Tours so much we are planning a trip for next year to tour other parts of Slovakia and to Poland.

We did a tour with Sebastian this week. He is very engaging, full of useful knowledge and information both on the history of Bratislava but also recommending so local authentic things to try whilst there.An enjoyable tour.

Martin is quite simply one of the best guides I have ever met – and I have met quite a few over the years.What makes him exceptional is the way he brings places, history and people to life. He doesn’t just recite dates and dry facts; he tells stories, creates connections and gives you the background that makes you really understand what you are seeing. His knowledge seems inexhaustible, and he is remarkably erudite, yet he never makes it feel like a lecture.You can ask him about history, culture, architecture, local traditions or almost anything else, and somehow there is always an interesting answer – usually accompanied by a great story.And there is another bonus: Martin is also an excellent wine expert. Talking about Slovak wines with him and discovering them together added another wonderful dimension to our experience.We spent five days touring Slovakia with Martin, and the entire trip ran absolutely smoothly from beginning to end, without a single hitch. Everything was extremely well organised, yet never felt rigid or over-planned. Martin was a major reason why the trip became so memorable. Knowledgeable, intelligent and engaging, with a great sense of humour and simply great company – a truly outstanding guide.Highly recommended without hesitation!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Sebastian. He was friendly, courteous, and very knowledgeable about Bratislava and its history. Although the day was warm, he considerately kept us in the shade as much as possible and kept us apprised of available water and restrooms along the way. We enjoyed his recommendations for local food and restaurants as well. With our time in Bratislava limited to one day, we felt that the time spent with Sebastian was well worthwhile!

We had the pleasure of getting to know Peter and his in depth knowledge of Slovakia. Very thorough and helpful! We would definitely use his services next time we are in the region.

We were picked up on time at the Twin City Liner dock and transported further by bus. So many impressions: the castle, the confluence of the Danube and March rivers, excellent lunch, winery + wine tasting, and a long walk through the historic city… so much information… Martin has extensive knowledge and can tell wonderful stories. We really enjoyed it!

Our guide Daria provided us with a comprehensive overview of the history and culture of Bratislava. She tailored the tour to our interests. She was extremely knowledgeable and addressed any questions we had. Daria was very personable and spoke English fluently.

While visiting Bratislava, my wife surprised me with a booking at GunMates. Steve, our host and range master, was very professional and conducted a very safe range session!A must visit for the firearm enthusiast!

Daria was a walking dictionary and a very sweet guide!She gave insights on Slovakia and shared funny moments. The tour was flexible and I enjoyed our interaction in that 4 hours. I’ve done the Slavin and so we skipped it. Didn’t opt to go up the Devin castle so our tour was shorter. Highly recommended!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Bratislava Tour Experience Our guide Eva Krajnakova was knowledgeable, friendly, and full of fascinating stories about Bratislava’s history and culture. The pace was perfect, and we got to see both the famous sights and hidden gems we never would have found on our own. Their passion for the city really made the tour special, and they even gave us great recommendations for food and activities afterwards. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bratislava!

We had an absolutely wonderful tour with Peter, from start to finish. No one from our group had been to Slovakia before this trip. Our experience with Peter on the 3 hour Bratislava Premium Walking tour not only showed us the highlights of the city (which are amazing - from castles, churches, beautiful streets and squares to reminders of the Soviet years) but taught us about the complicated history of the country. In addition to an in depth look at Bratislava, Peter gave us recommendations for other towns to see, and where to eat when there. His recommendations were all fantastic. In sum, Peter's depth of knowledge and his passion for his work made the tour a highlight of our vacation. We all highly recommend the tour. It is best to do upon arrival in Slovakia so that you have this foundation as you explore other parts of the country. IN the future, we will contact Peter for tours of other Eastern European cities.
