Ivar was a wonderful, and knowledgeable guide. Showed concern for our comfort as we walked along the beach, which was windy, but still beautful. We were also fortunate to have an easy walk along a river and through a beautful fall colored forest.. Would highly recommend this tour. The scenery is spectacular and Ivar,as a guide, could not have been better. Thank you ,Ivar.

The tour to Mjelle beach with Ivar was fantastic. Not very crowded or touristy, an easy walk in nature. Ivar knows the area very well, so he was super kind to stop the van whenever we wanted to take a photo before arriving at the parking lot for the hike. Furthermore, he took us to see a nearby fjord and had us take an additional walk near a waterfall. Very kind and knowledgeable, I would recommend him to anyone. He is also an excellent photographer and will take beautiful photos of you.

We ( A 19 year old and 60 year old) did the Hidden Valley hike with Ivar. Ivar communicated really well and offered a variety of pick up and drop off points. Luckily for us we were the only booking on that day so we had a private tour with Ivar who is very knowledgeable about the local area, history, wildlife and happy to answer any questions. The hike itself was the right level for us both, Ivar was very good at pointing out tricky parts and ensuring our safety at all times. The scenery is spectacular whatever the weather and a very peaceful, secluded spot. We stopped by the top lake for a break and did a different route back to the van. Ivar also stopped at Saltstraumen for us to walk over the bridge- an additional bonus! Dont miss this incredible tour, we highly recommend if your in the area. Ivar also gave us very good advice on other activities for our last day jn the area which we took and had a great time. Many thanks Ivar.

Great tour, with good guide from Nordland Turselskap. A light march and fine varied climbing were rewarded with stunning views from the top. We experienced this as a better trip than Stetind as we climbed 3 years ago

We had an awesome experience at Mosjøen Via Ferrata. The HiNorth Team was totally welcoming, and did everything to make our adventure possible out of season. They arranged everything we needed within a phonecall after emailing with our request. Props to the Service of your Team, we'll be back next year to do it again! (Hopefully including the Zipline...)

Good personal service via chat before booking. Good and pleasant guide. We chose a combi, ViaFerrata and Zippline, then could also walk the stairs up the last part and down again to Zipp. Both the tour via HiNorth and the stairs generally recommended

I had the most incredible experience on the Northern Lights tour with Sultan as our guide! The Northern Lights can be tricky to spot, and on the night of our tour, it seemed like the odds were against us. But Sultan ’s determination and expertise truly made all the difference.He worked tirelessly, checking weather updates and driving us to the perfect locations until we finally saw the magical lights dancing in the sky. It was such a breathtaking moment, and I’m so grateful for his effort to make it happen.Sultan was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly and passionate. He shared fascinating facts about the Northern Lights and the local culture, which made the experience even more special. He even took our photos with northern lights!This was a dream come true, and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide. It was a really nice hiking trip in good atmosphere. The guide provided a lot of information and was really nice! The area is beautiful with a great view over the mountains. We were even able to see some snow (in summer). All in all a great recommendation when you're in Bodø.

I cannot recommend this tour enough, Mjelle beach is stunning and the tour itself was second to none. Ivar the tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave the perfect balance of sharing his knowledge and letting you wander off and enjoy the spaces for yourself! He even gave me suggestions of things to do for the rest of my time in Bodo and places to eat! I was the only one booked on the tour so very grateful we were still able to go ahead with it. After the beach I got the option to visit a fjord and some lakes too to see some varied scenery, I definitely got to see more than I could have hoped in the time we had!

The cruise ships dock in Bodo next to town, near the rail station. The visible ridge-line of mountains to the Northeast of town are pretty easy to walk to from the ship, and there are hiking paths from peak to peak throughout them.- The easiest markers for hiking are visible from the ship - the large antennae tower and the "Wood Hotel" on top of the ridge-line. - Our ship had Bodo tourist information maps available, and they show several ways to get to the closest trails, but those maps end before the ridge-line, so you may want to download some hiking trail maps to your phone before you arrive, or use a location app. (Note: we hiked up the closest path shown on the town map, but it had some slippery and steep areas, so it can be tricky for beginners). - There are SEVERAL access points to trails up to the ridge-line. The paths up to, and at the top can range from beginner to moderate or can even have some strenuous non-technical areas, so it is always wise to know your limits. - There is one EASY way to access the views...by going up the road to the antennae tower. This road is shown on the tourist map we got on the ship. I RECOMMEND using this route (up and down) to access the views at the top if your goal is a healthy walk with great views. Once you get to the top, you can decide how much more you can (or want to) hike around. - Take note, some of the trails are hard to find/follow, which is why a map or app would be helpful. Don't let that discourage you as long as you keep your bearings and look for the landmark antennae tower if you go astray. - The area is quite beautiful, so enjoy your time wandering around and above Bodo!!Additional Note: There are some signs, arrows and trail markers to the hiking areas in town, but construction on the main road prevented us from being able to follow them, so we altered our routes real-time and can't say how helpful they might be.

Great day, challenging enough Via Ferrata, excellent guides who ensured safe and enjoyable climbing at all times. Zipwire was a perfect end to a great day. Only thing to be aware of is lots of steps to reach Via Ferrata start and many more to get back down... need to be relatively fit to enjoy.

Great Via Ferrata combining Helgelandstrappene.You can make it as hard (technical without cheating using the cables) or as easy (using the cables) as you like! Probably a grade B, in two stages: climb the trappene till just after 350m (20 min hike), then hike up to the start (15 mins), there is a nice stream for a face splash/drink and off you go. Each section is about 45 mins each, the first takes you into a platau where you can stop and enjoy the views or lunsj! Another 5 minute boulder across the mountain and the second section begins (30/45mins). The VF ends about 765m approx onto the trappene, so you can hike up to the summit of Øyfjell 818m or head back down. We ran down so took us about 2hours 10 mins in total from starting the steps to finishing at the bottom!You can book your trip through Hi North, and add on a Zipline to the experience for an additional cost. Great Views and Great experience!
