Overall the tour was well organized, there was plenty of time for pictures and hiking a part of the wall , the guide Susie was excellent and gave us a lot of information about the History of China and today's China . Lunch was very good. Would recommend the tour with no reservations.

We booked a private tour from the Wild and unrestored Jiankou section of the Great Wall to the Mutianyu section. It was incredibly fun!Our guide May was amazing, pick-up, drop-off and communication was good, the hike wasn’t too challenging for us, but could see it being a bit hard for older people or kids.

We had a wonderful visit to the Great Wall with our guide Jenny. A nice, clean car picked us up and we had a smooth drive to the Great Wall. Everything went smoothly thanks to Jenny’s organisation and we really enjoyed visiting the wall. We got some great photos! We had a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. I would highly recommend this tour.

We had an amazing experience. May is a wonderful guide - Knowledgable and friendly. It is very steep for approximately 2K and you definitely need hiking shoes with good grip as it can be a slippery. It really felt like an opportunity of a lifetime.

A great day discovering less known and less touristy part of China. The gorge was nearly unreal, the caves gave us a taste of a distant past, Loris was professional and ready to assist!

Jeffrey and his driver picked us up and took us on amazing tour of Longqingxia. The river cruise through the gorge was unbelievable. Lunch was amazing. Some of the best food we have had in China. Jeffrey picked all the dishes and made a far better choice than we would have. Last stop was the Guyaju Caves. Definitely a must see. It was pouring with rain but Jeffrey still managed to make the trip around the caves very enjoyable. Great day out!

We had a full-day hike with Miko in October 2025. He was an amazing guide, made us feel safe, and clearly communicated the plan for the day and the hike conditions (as a cold wave was hitting the Beijing area).If you plan to go, do bring some trail running shoes or, even better, light hiking boots. The weather in autumn can be changeable, and some portions of the hike are not as you see in movies, but enjoy yourself, your hiking buddies, and embrace everything that comes. You'll walk on one of the wonders of the world!

This was one shot that myself and my university friend were delighted we did take. We met Miko doing a forbidden city tour a few days earlier and were so impressed by his knowledge, humour and fluency that we immediately asked if he did Great Wall trips. He helped us curate a perfect tour that started at midday, saw us watch sunset from the wall and also have dinner in the beautiful water town for Gubei. He was friendly, colloquially brilliant and of course helped us understand the history in a way that no book or audio tour can. 100% recommend using him and also going to the Jinshanglin part of the wall for breathtaking views with very few crowds.

We had such an amazing hike with Peter, who was an excellent guide. He tailed everything to our family’s needs as we were travelling with our 3 kids ages 10 and 14. Peter shared so much interesting facts and history and was so friendly and engaging with the children. The hike itself was breathtaking with views of the ancient Great Wall winding through forests and mountains. I cannot recommend highly enough

This tour was amazing! The trip took 2 hours to get there, we walked on the wall for about 3 hours. These sections of the Great Wall are amazing, some parts are steep. These sections aren’t crowded and we had a lot of fun during the walk. Our guide Nancy was very kind, she speaks very good English and told us a lot of interesting things about the wall. Highly recommended!!

We did the Mini Group Tour: Beijing Forbidden City Tour with Great Wall Hiking at Mutianyu with Dan as guide. It was a wunderful day with a very well organized tour, which we enjoyed very much!The trip through the forbidden city was a little bit less detailed than I expected but still very nice. You basically just follow the very touristic route straight through the core of the city and the guide will tell some instersting stories or facts about the buildings and artworks.The stay at the Great Wall was amazing, we really took a lot of time for a hike along the wall and Dan answered all questions in detail. But keep in mind that you have to pay an extra 15-20 US$ for the caple car. They offer you to walk to the wall but I am not sure if that is really an option because than you would not have a lot of time at the wall itself.The only thing which was really bad was the lunch. Dan told us there wouldn't be any good chinese restaurants in Mutianyu so we would have to eat at Burger King. After we ordered at Burer King the WORST meal of our whole trip in Asia, Dan left and came back with some amazing chinese food for herself from a little place just around the corner. We were sitting there asking ourself why she didn't tell us about this place beforehand but nobody explained to us why.For future tours: PLEASE give people the choice where to eat lunch! Besides that we had a great day! Thank you again for everything Dan!

Very cool tour, I went in the winter of 2022, so the Great Wall was completely deserted. Covid restrictions were still in place at this time. I was the only one to book, so it ended up being a full-day, private tour 😊

I participated to several private tours with French friends and our guide James, as I am living in Beijing for four years now. Without James, we would never had the opportunity to explore non restored parts of Geat Wall. We followed him in beautiful wild scenery, sometimes challenging, far from the boring public crowded sections of the Wall. Each tour with James was magic, fun and friendly. I would have done even more tours if Covid had not hit the Country. I highly recommand our guide James, and I Thanks him so much for sharing HIS Great Wall with us !
