We booked a tour directly through the company's website, and it turned out to be an absolute highlight of our trip to Portugal. Our guide, Joao, was extremely knowledgeable and spent a lot of time explaining the history with incredible detail. He pointed out small details on the buildings that we completely would have missed if he hadn't been there to point them out.The tour took place entirely outdoors, and the setting was quite busy with plenty of other tourists around. However, this was no problem at all for us. It actually worked to our advantage, as we just took more time looking inside one building before moving on. This slower pace was perfect because it allowed us to take more photos as the crowds naturally moved out and away from the area.Joao went above and beyond by sharing extra recommendations for the rest of our journey. Since we are interested in Jewish culture, he gave us excellent tips on other places in Portugal to look for more information, specifically pointing us toward Monsaraz and Lisbon. This tour gave us the perfect historical foundation for the rest of our holiday. If you want a deeply informative and relaxed tour, we highly recommend booking with them! We booked a private tour so we could hear and ask questions relevant to us. We highly recommend a tour in this manner.

I enjoyed our 'whistlestop' tour of Evora with our guide Daniel. Starting with the Roman Temple (not to Diana! but maybe to Ceres) and finishing in the Jardim Publico with the Romantic reconstruction of the ruin. I took in the explanations about Evora that followed how the community wanted to portray the thousands of years of history by embracing the diversity of the past. This vision was led by architect Jose Cinnatti. A visit to a variety of places, through narrow streets, past throngs of tourists, enabled Daniel to tell me the story of his city. Daniel emphasized to me that the diverse culture is why he continues to study the city's history, enabling him to be a great guide embracing the UNESCO ideals.

It was very informative and fun! Tomas and his wife are amazing people, you can feel their love for Sesimbra and for history and it was an absolute pleasure to spend the afternoon with them! Take sunscreen, water and a hat, because you're gonna walk in the sun the whole time. We really enjoyed discovering Sesimbra through their lense and trying local food. We recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sesimbra!

Excellent tour of marble region near Estremoz
We had a very informative insight into marble. We started in a classroom type of location to learn how marble exists in the region and the different types of marble found in the area. We were then taken to 3 open mines to see how the marble is extracted. As it was Saturday afternoon there were no workers so it was not dusty or noisy. The scale of the mines were incredible. Our guide Joao treated us to a local song which resonated in the mine. He is an excellent singer. He then drove us to the processing plant where the marble slabs were cut into more manageable pieces and ranked for sale.

Very enjoyable walking tour of estremoz . We started at the Pousada where we were staying and our guide Joao arranged for both the church and the chapel to be opened for us to see. He explained about the 3 dynasties that were involved in the history of Estremoz. He also told us of the specialties and crafts local to the area and showed us beautiful architecture. We finished the tour at the market place and as it was Saturday morning there was a bustling market in action.

I cannot recommend this tour highly enough! I had an absolutely fantastic experience and would recommend it to anyone visiting Évora. It was a lot of fun!João was an excellent guide, welcoming, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. As a solo traveller, it isn't always easy to find tours that are willing to accommodate just one person, so I was especially grateful that he adapted the experience for me.The tour lasted around three hours and included so much more than I expected. We drove through the beautiful cork oak forests, visited a cork factory to learn about the fascinating production process (something I knew very little about beforehand!), explored Évora Monte Castle, and enjoyed some truly stunning scenery and viewpoints along the way.What I loved most was that it didn't feel like a scripted tour. João shared so much fascinating history and local knowledge and is genuinely passionate about the history and culture of the region. I never felt rushed and had plenty of opportunities to ask questions and learn about cork production and the local area.The combination of history, nature, beautiful landscapes and great conversation made this one of the highlights of my time in Portugal. If you're visiting Évora and are considering a cork tour, don't hesitate to book this one.
