Top Whittier Walking Tours

Sherrye was excellent and went out of her way to get us to places we wanted to see! We saw Salman spanning because of a stop she made. It was a fun experience.

Amazing tour! Our guide, Sherrye was simply wonderful! Taylor made tour for our time frame on our day of disembarkation from our cruise ship. Most of the beautiful places we visited were completely without other tourists, so our photos were amazing! We were four in our party and we had a mini bus just for our own use which was great when visiting so many stops. 10/10! Thank you!

We had an incredible experience today on our Whittier to Anchorage transfer and wildlife tour! We had the chance to see Beluga whales too! It was the perfect way to end our Alaska adventure. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and getting to see Alaska’s incredible wildlife along the way made the day even more special. Our guide was wonderful—knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire experience enjoyable. The tour was well organized, relaxing, and a great way to see more of Alaska while traveling from Whittier to Anchorage. We stopped off for lunch at the Basecamp and the smoked salmon and clam chowder was absolutely delicious! We were conveniently dropped off right at the airport, which made the end of our trip completely stress-free. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a memorable way to travel from Whittier to Anchorage while taking in the beauty and wildlife of Alaska!

Great tour that takes you to Byron glacier and then a lake along with other stops. Loved seeing the sanctuary animals. Lunch was fabulous at Base Camp and Sherryre our tour guide was awesome and so accomplished. Also, your luggage is in a trailer so you don’t have to worry about it. Finally we were dropped off at the airport to say goodbye. Highly recommend this tour.

Very informative, didn't feel rushed, felt like we hit all the highlights from Whittier to Anchorage. Lots of photo opportunities. Our guide was energetic and kept us laughing.

Riley did an awesome job of communicating pickup location. Narrating throughout the journey. And helping people with anything they ask about the area.

Riley, our tour guide made our day enjoyable. She was waiting for us after our cruise in Whitter Alaska. T Rilwy took us to various locations that were the best,we loved every stop. Thank you so much.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the transfer to the Anchorage Airport and the various tour stops on the way. Our driver and guide was Dustin who arrived at the cruise terminal way before the start time of 9:00am and was waiting for us with a clean and comfortable Mercedes Van and luggage trailer. He was very patient and never rushed us at any of the stops. He took us to all the places marked on the itinerary and some more. He had already made a lunch reservation at a restaurant in Girdwood that served yummy fish and crabs.Dustin went above and beyond to point out Dall Sheep you up on the mountain and gave us a tour of Anchorage downtown before dropping us safely at ANC for our flight.I would highly recommend this tour.Thank Dustin for a memorable tour !!

We thoroughly enjoyed our day. Ryan, our tour guide knows so much about the area he made our day exceptional. This is a family owned company and they really put pride into their guides and tour.

Ryan, our tour guide was exceptional. The van was very clean snacks and water provided as advertised. He was so knowledgeable of the area and so personable - he made the day a lovely experience.

Our guide was great and very knowledgeable. My only concern was the actual pick was not communicated properly. We were waiting in the passenger terminal when our guide was outside waiting.

Ryan was our guide/driver. Pick up was so easy at the cruise terminal. He texted us for his location and van description. He narrated and shared information with us the entire trip. Very personable and knowledgeable- you can tell he enjoys his job. Would definitely recommend this trip and company to anyone!

One of the highlights of our cruise and extended stays. The limited numbers of people allowed the guide to better cater to our needs. Really enjoyed the hike to view the glacier. Tour guide is very knowledgeable about Whittier, the tunnel, and area between Whittier and Anchorage.

It was the best option for the transfer from Whittier to Anchorage with the security of carrying all your luggage and making multiple stops to see glaciers, salmon, at the wildlife center we saw bears, bison, moose, etc. in their natural habitat, after eating the guide knew of an eagle's nest with an eagle tending to it. And finally they take you to the place you need in Anchorage.

Fabulous day didn't watching wildlife en route from Whittier to Anchorage. Our only gripe was the pick up. I didn't get the text from the lady (phone not the best without WiFi) and therefore we didn't know to walk out of cruise terminal to meet bus. Cool Destinations could do with ensuring the tour company name is on the ticket too. But a great guide and great day

This was a great way to transport from Whittier cruise port to Anchorage. Sherrye (tour van driver) kept in touch with me right up until she got to the cruise port’s parking area. It was all very easy. Sherrye’s effort in ensuring her passengers were comfortable, satisfied, and happy was so evident. She even provided us with water & snacks, and had some binoculars available for us to use! She toured us through the 1.5 mile walk to and from the Byron Glacier, took many pictures for us, and gave us all the narrative we needed! We made several other stops and saw so many beautiful sights along our journey- like turnagain arm, Earthquake Park, and the Wildlife Conservation Center where we saw a bear, a wolf, some moose and bison! She made a stop at a restaurant where we were able to sit down for about an hour for lunch. After the tour, Sherrye dropped us off at our hotel. It was a very long day, but well worth it! Sherrye is a very good tour guide! Don’t hesitate to book this transfer/tour!
