The tour was a perfect blend of food tasting and sightseeing, as we also learned about the rich history and culture of Timișoara along the way. Absolutely wonderful day in nature with Gabriel! He listened to our desires and abilities and customized the perfect hike for us (family of 4 with kids ages 11 and 13). We did a not very intense/steep 6 mile walk near Bran Castle. We got a beautiful view of the castle, stunning mountains and valleys and a very pretty little running stream. He knows the area very well (he showed us his grandparents house along the route) and guided us to eating wild strawberries and cherries along the route. One of our favorite days in Romania!

Could not have had a better experience going on this food tour. My friend and I had Dan as our tour guide and he made the tour so enjoyable for us. Throughout the tour you get a great feel for the local atmosphere and the food that locals eat on a daily basis. I highly suggest you do this one your first day visiting Timisoara because you get a great feel for the city and good places to eat throughout the entirety of your trip.

Amazing hike!
The hiking was incredible! Absolutely beautiful nature—blooming flowers, lush greenery, dramatic rocks, and unforgettable scenic views. The guide Emil was very knowledgeable, kind, and attentive - I truly enjoyed my trip under his guidance. He knows the trails perfectly and chose the best routes. Overall the hike was moderate - not super easy due to some elevation and sun (SPF and proper cover are a must!), but nothing risky. Highly recommend this hike for everyone :)

Our family trip was excellent, we had 2 wonderful days visiting the Happy Cemetery, eating with a local family and train riding along the Mocanita Rail (a mountain fairytale rail). Our guide was jolly, pleasant and really knowledgeable, thank you Dorin and Cristian!

More than a food tour
We LOVED this tour. Andrei and Téo were excellent guides and teachers. We visited markets and food stalls in the city center and beyond, had the opportunity to learn the tram system, and got to hear all about growing up in Romania. Andrei, our main guide, also gave us insight into the revolution in 1989 and the current political climate. We learned about so much more than food! And we were stuffed and happy by the end.

I met with Marius...on...
I met with Marius...on time. He explained the tour, and we set-off. On the way he explained and pointed out landmarks of importance and answered the hundreds of questions I had. When it got to the dishes/snacks he once again explained everything so that the right choice could be made. What I loved most was that we sat with the local patrons at the market in Fabric and when we went for the drinks we sat in the square opposite the street...I travelled like a local and had a wonderful time. I definitely recommend this tour. Marius is a fantastic guide.

An amazing experience
Obi was an incredibly funny and hospitable guide and the hike was spectacular, taking in gorges, meadows and forests in the national park. It's definitely a challenge with steep and rocky terrain so be prepared for this and any weather scenarios but bearing this in mind, I'd reccomend to anyone with an appropriate level of fitness.
