Top Port Douglas Sailing Trips

We had a wonderful, family experience - all inclusive package was great including snorkelling gear, glass bottom boat trip, experienced marine biologist on board, morning/afternoon tea and buffet lunch so we only needed money for drinks and ice cream! Staff were friendly and helpful. Loved being able to move between the boat and island to snorkel from the beach made it great for children/beginners. We saw coral, lots of fish and even ticked off my bucket list seeing sea turtles in the ocean! Overall a very memorable day out, great value for money and would recommend.

Recently went as a family with 2 kids under 4 on the wavedancer and I actually can’t fault it! The staff were so friendly and helpful, the service was second to none, feel like they thought of every detail and made you feel so comfortable and well looked after. Their attention to safety and comfort especially was exceptional and they made it feel like you were on your own private tour rather than a big group tour. We will definitely do this tour again.

A great experience. The staff were helpful and informative. We sat in comfortable chairs, sipping drinks, eating cheese and biscuits, while enjoying sailing across beautiful waters out of Port Douglas.

A great cruise out of Port Douglas. Skipper and deck hand were terrific. Got a little right, though haha.

We had a great arfternoon out on Shaolin with Fin & Dianna. The history of the Junk is fascinating & the view around the river area are so peaceful, great food & drink service, highly recommend

The Shaolin junk was built in Hong Kong a long time ago. She is sturdy and well kept. Flynn the skipper was friendly and fun. We motored out of the harbour, Flynn was informative and Taylor the hostess served us entrees of barramundi and crocodile spring rolls and salad with a glass of wine. We sailed around the headland and anchored off 4 mile beach and a basket of about eight very fresh, tasty tiger prawns with lemon and dipping sauce was enjoyed by all aboard. Flynn answered everyone's queries. Beautiful hot day with a lovely breeze. Perfect! PS if you can't book on their website or by phone, tickets are sold at the Daintree Tourism Bureau on Marcossan St or at other hotels or booking agents. Don't miss it! Lovely and relaxing!

Great day in the low isles cruise , we saw green turtle , reef sharks & colourful fish, staff were so friendly though & great service . They all went out of their way to be sure we were safe , it was my friend’s first time snorkelling and they saved her when she panicked . Reassuring to know they were there & we were very happy . Highly recommend, highlight was the trip home…Hugh waves but singing ( a staff member brought out his guitar ) & drinking completely sparkling was an experience we won’t forget !

Even if the weather was not with us entirely, the day was a pure bliss. Went on board of the Wavedancer catamaran on route for the Low Isles day trip. The crew was amazing and very knowledgeable. The food on board was amazing and we had more than enough for a second serve. All equipment for a day snorkeling, with an amazing Marine biologist on board (Glen). He is taking you on a journey to discover and understand the area. So much to learn. The snorkeling was a bit blurry by the recent weather, but it is nature and we cannot do anything about it. The coral was still a pure bliss and all the fishes were very colourful. No turtle this time but again nature is always giving you what she can. Glen also took us on a tour of the island, showing us the lemon shark attacking the fishes along the beach, telling us about the beautiful story of the island and how it works with its 2 ile keepers. He also showed us the nest of the island bird and explained to us a bit about History and the discovery of the Great Barrier Reef. What an amazing story teller, and he has so many things to tell you. We finished with a complementary glass of bubble and afternoon tea on our way back.Will definitely come back when the weather is nicer and give us more visibility.But I 100 recommend this cruise ! From the pick up at the hotel, to the boarding pass, the boarding, the cruise and the return, it was an amazing day! Thank you guys!

Wonderful to sail on the Wavedancer and see the turtles and fish on the Low Isles. The safety and facilities were excellent, and staff took great care of us.

This is a wonderful experience that everybody should have in Port Douglas. The food was lovely. The staff were fantastic. The boat was gorgeous. Everything was great.

Great day trip with options for kids too young to snorkel. Staff were great and food was generous. Thoroughly recommend.

Very friendly crew my husband couldn’t swim but he went on the glass bottom boat and saw the coral , then he went with the marine biologist around the isle which he thought was very interesting. I saw lots of different fish , loved the parrot fish , someone saw an octopus . Only draw back couldn’t get my camera to work underwater so will have to get a GoPro and do it all again!!!

Absolutely recommend this trip. Very well run with hospitable friendly staff, a stunning vessel, with great food & views.

We couldn’t speak more highly of these guys! From the moment we arrived, they were both so accommodating towards the entire group.They both constantly walked around the boat, checking to make sure no one was getting sea sick and offered to refill our drinks and cheese platters..They made the entire experience very enjoyable.
