Port Douglas Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

Really amazing informative trip on a quiet boat that gets you as close to the Crocs as one can. These guys have been doing this a long time and can tell all the crocs by name and their associations. This tour should be done by all , so you can learn about real crocs statistics. Not media hype. Thank you for allowing our doggo to come aboard too- he chilled and slept all the way up and back down the river, so you guys must be doing something right! 1 hour was only just enough time. I love hearing all the stories about the personalities!

We had an exceptional tour which included the Mossman Gorge, a rainforest walk, a river cruise, swim in Cooper Creek and Cape Tribulation which was definitely a highlight. It was the right amount of time, and Tom was extremely knowledgable and very helpful and patient with everyone in the group. What makes it even better is he is genuinely passionate about what he does. Would definitely recommend for families. A descent walk so be prepared. Kids and adults will equally enjoy the Daintree Ice cream which is the best we had in Qld!

This is me of the best activities we did in FNQ! We went on the 1 hour cruise, and saw 4 crocs- including Scarface. It’s a very eerie feeling drifting along on a boat, knowing that crocs are swimming around you. Our guide, Mark, was a wealth of knowledge and friendly. We will definitely go again when we are up this way next!

Very good experience, great food and the complimentary drink was fantastic.

From the moment we got picked up we were looked after superbly. Wayne was a fantastic guide and rider. He had lots of interesting information without being overwhelming. We did a five hour tour and saw so many things that you just don’t see on other tours. Lots of local history, stories etc. my husband is 75 and he had one of the best days in years. If you’re over the run of the mill tour,…… take this one . It opens your eyes to a whole different view. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Worth every penny.

What a great adventure! The boat is top notch and the crew was especially nice and helpful. Kudos to Alex, he helped my wife out when she got in the water, as it was a bit rough and she was afraid. He calmed her down and helped ensure she had a nice snorkeling experience. Captain Tahn and Callie were very special and the whole experience was worth every penny spent. I can’t say enough about how helpful and knowledgeable the crew was and would book again in a heartbeat! Don’t let the cost scare you away, it’s totally worth it!

Reece was a great host. The trike ride was exceptional.

Matt was very knowledgeable about the crocodiles and the rainforest. Very calm on the water and went up very close to a crocodile.

From the adventure, scenery and swimming to the whole experience, it was a fantastic day from start to finish. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun, adventurous and memorable FNQ experience!

A good tour with Rob. He certainly knows the area well. Great to get into a proper rainforest that hadn't been altered to much by humans. Didn't get to see any Cassowary's unfortunately. Trees and fauna were great to see, along with the ones that can kill you or rip your skin off.

Fantastic experience. So exciting seeing the crocodiles in their natural habitat accompanied by our guide Graham who was so knowledgable and very entertained with it. He even added an extra few minutes as he guessed that the crocodile might have gone up onshore and lo and behold, there was the massive crocodile called Scarface, resting on the sun. A great trip, easy to find and easy parking. I would highly recommend this trip.

Easy to find as the Lady Douglas is the only one of its kind in the marine. Great welcome from the skipper and his helper. I didn’t spot the complimentary drink or the lovely snack on booking making it great value. The trip is at a lovely pace not too fast and not too slow. We found a crocodile. Huge monster just resting. My wife then spotted another one on the return leg and was rewarded with a free drink. Great experience and would gladly do again.

The tour guide was very knowledgable! I loved listening to him. We saw crocs abd a kingfisher and a treesnake. The reception is lovely, with tee and krackers. The employees were so nice.

Great experience. It was a very windy morning but our guide made it a comfortable and very interesting ride. Seeing Lumpy and some cute little crocs, learning how hard their life cycle is. Added bonus was the complimentary tea/coffee.

Everything is so well organized The catamaran is worth the trip alone Very helpful staff at the pontoon Sometimes a bit crowded in the snorkeling area Ok lunch
