We had an amazing trip to the Grand Canyon with our Discovery Treks's guide Brittney! We hiked the Hermit Trail to Monument Creek and the views were awesome! It was a very challenging hike but with Brittney's guidance and encouragement we accomplished our goal and were able to see the Colorado River! The weather was perfect and we even had a full moon! We enjoyed getting to know Brittney, she really knows the canyon and is a great cook too! Discovery Treks worked hard to make this once in a lifetime trip possible for us and we look forward to another adventure with them soon!

Sunset Sonoran Desert Hike
I did the sunset Sonoran Desert hike with Dialinda yesterday and had such an amazing experience! The weather was perfect, the views were breathtaking, and Dialinda was the glue that tied it all together. Her knowledge and respect for Mother Nature is truly evident while climbing the trail. I learned several new species of cacti and even got to try a little fruit that one grew! After we were all done, she made sure I got into my uber safe and sent me photos/videos of the hike. 10/10 experience, I would do this hike a million times over if I had the time!

Our tour guide was Henry. We learned a lot about the trail and nature. Had so much fun, he gave us a back pack with water, we took a few quick breaks as needed. Took really cool photos and had a great time. I would rate the difficulty of this tour about a 5 or 6 out of ten. That is because you have to be careful of the rocks on the trail and a few tiny inclines. But you can totally this one, the 2 hours went by fast. I’m gonna be more adventurous on my next visit and do one of the longer hikes.

We had such an amazing hiking experience in Phoenix with Henry as our guide! He was absolutely fantastic from start to finish—friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and made the entire hike so much fun. He knew so much about the desert, the landscape, and the area, and you could tell he genuinely enjoys sharing it with people.The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, especially watching the sunrise over the mountains and seeing the incredible saguaros along the trail. 🌵🌅 Henry made sure we were comfortable, safe, and able to enjoy the hike at our own pace, which made the experience even better.This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Arizona! If you’re looking for a hiking guide in the Phoenix area, I would 100% recommend Henry. Thank you for an unforgettable morning and some absolutely gorgeous views! ❤️🥾🌵

We had a great time on the Phoenix Mountains Preserve Night Glow Hike with our group (3 adults and 1 kid). It was a very cool and unique experience. During the hike, we only saw scorpions, but it was super interesting! The best part was that we even spotted two giant scorpions, which was really exciting for everyone. The guide made sure we were safe and showed us how to find them in the dark. We loved the experience from start to finish. Highly recommended for families looking for an exciting night activity!

Doug was an excellent guide for our hiking adventure being our first time in Arizona. Unfortunately, our first attempt at the hike had to be rescheduled because there was a sandstorm as well as thunder and lightning. Apparently we came during the off-season but they still allowed us to reschedule for a later date and it did not disappoint. I went with my four children. Age ranges 10 to 25 years and he was very patient with all of us including the youngest one. He also gauged our activity level and made some modifications based on that. I would highly recommend you request Doug specifically and book with Mad Desert Trekking!

This was a great experience! Our guide, Jennifer was a knowledgeable and experienced hiker. She adapted the hike to our lower experience level. We were able to see the gorgeous sunrise and learn about the mountains and the animals and plant life in the area. Also, Jennifer took great photos, so we have wonderful mementos of our hike. Amazing fauna, lizards and mammals, pictographs, and canyon that is literally like a secret passage way. Thankfully, Henry, the guide, carried enough iced bottled water to make this hike fun and enjoyable in the 92F heat. The trailhead is only 15 minutes from the airport. A great way to spend the last 3 hours before boarding a flight.

April provided an amazing sunrise hike and gentle yoga practice in Papago Park. We did some light hiking that included great views of Phoenix. We even saw two coyotes! I had a wonderful experience doing outdoor yoga on a cliff. It was a truly beautiful way to start my travels in Arizona!
