They shared fascinating insights into the history, geography, and significance of Meteora, making the visit even more memorable.What impressed me the most was their outstanding customer service. I accidentally left a pouch containing my chargers and reading glasses on one of the buses and only realized it while I was on my way to Athens. The driver immediately offered to send it to my address in Athens. This level of honesty, kindness, and dedication is rare and truly deserves recognition.I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Meteora. It was a wonderful experience in every way.

We had an excellent 2-day tour from Athens to Meteora with Christos and Konstantina. The communication about the logistics from Meteora were great - reliable and easy to follow. They booked us into comfortable 1st class cabins on the train, and a luxury coach for the return trip.Photographically, Christos was great. For me, as a keen amateur enthusiast, I was looking for someone to show me all the usual postcard locations, but also other hidden locations known only to locals. Furthermore, he was able to take us to locations where the photographic perspectives were interesting, at times when the light was good, and to avoid crowds. We were able to shoot until after sunset, and the following day from before sunrise.Christos was also able to teach some new aspects of photography appropriate to the scenes. I am shooting with 2 Z9 Nikon bodies, but my wife was using an iPhone, and for both of us, Christos showed us techniques relevant to each device.The food and accommodation were also very comfortable for our 2 day stay, at the Monastiri Guesthouse, and dinner at the new Ambrosia restaurant at Kalambaka. Eating and talking with Christos and Konstantina gave us a sense of Greek hospitality and a richer understanding of life and culture in Greece. Just wonderful to get to know some locals, whilst doing something we are passionate about - photography in one of the iconic sites of the world.All in all, this was a perfect way for anyone interested in photography to be able to see and shoot the amazing location which is Meteora.

Chris and Konstantina were the most amazing hosts and guides in Meteora. They were so attentive and kind. Showed us all the best places and helped my husband and I learn how to take the best photos with his camera and my iPhone. They took us to dinner and answered so many questions. They drove us to remote places and kept us hydrated. They are two really wonderful human beings and this tour was the best we have ever had and the landscape is one everyone should see! There is nothing else like it anywhere.

Kalambraka is a beautiful town, and Meteora is a beautiful place! Pamos was an excellent guide, and I would recommend this trip to anyone in the area.

There some unexpected issues such as the train strike that affected our return by train but the company handled everything for us, kept us infirmaded all the time, offered options, and got us the return bus tickets. Besides that everything was great! The guides Vasilis and Chris were a well of information, history, and curiosities. The small group tour is a wonderful way to go and my utmost recommendation. We had 3 tourists in the tour with Vasilis and just 2 of us with Chris (the guide) on the second day. The place is amazing and worth of every moment there. We stayed for 1 night, but if I ever come back, I will sure extend the trip for at least one more day, and do a couple of the hikes. We visited all the 6 monasteries that are still open, unfortunately I was only able to climb the steps to 3 of them...there are tons of them but my knees don't like them very much mowadays :-( . However, I still enjoyed the experience as much as if I had climbed. The paths, the views, the little hidden peak-a-boo perspective has lots to offer. I highly recommend Meteora Rocks to anyone planning to visit Meteora.

Christos and Konstantina were incredible hosts! They took us around for two days and were so incredibly friendly and kind. We aren’t the biggest photographers but they were so helpful and informative nonetheless. They even took pictures of us with the scenery when we expressed that those are the pictures we value the most. We’d definitely recommend this event to anyone interested in a great experience in a magical place!

We booked their 2-day All-inclusive Photography Tour from Athens to Meteora by train. It was a remarkable experience. We were enthralled by the stunning and breathtaking landscapes, the knowledgeable, warm and personable team of Konstantina, Christos and Tom, and the overall experience. This tour provided the perfect platform for us to explore and capture the awe-inspiring beauty of Meteora.Konstantina, Christos and Tom were not only professional but also very warm and friendly. They brought us to spots with the best vantage points for capturing Meteora’s iconic monasteries, magnificent rock formations, and wonderful sunset and sunrise vista. We only used our iphone cameras, but they gave us guided and helpful tips. Christos showed us features of our iphone cameras and recommended photo apps. And they took photos of us as well.The itinerary was relaxed and well-paced, giving us ample time to take photos and immerse ourselves in the beauty and serenity of the surroundings. And the team’s friendly demeanor made the tour feel more like an adventure with new friends rather than a structured tour. They shared historical facts and personal anecdotes.Konstantina was very helpful and responsive, and patient with all our inquiries, from the time we booked until we left. The tour included snacks, meals and drinks; they made recommendations but they let you choose. The restaurants they brought us to were delightful with delectable food. The vehicle used (pick-up and drop-off at the Kalambaka train station and during the tour) was clean, well-maintained and comfortable. The accommodation provided (Monastariki Guesthouse) was clean, spacious and comfortable. It had a balcony that provided a wonderful view of the rock formations. The hotel staff were pleasant and welcoming.Marveling at the tranquility and awesome panorama of Meteora would have been enough for us, but we were glad we took this photo tour. The tour was a good combination of photography, exploration and cultural immersion and it was an unforgettable and enjoyable experience.

Well organized. When I did have trouble, the host was easily accessible. My train tickets did not download properly. They resent and all was good.

The whole schedule processed smoothly as described, the local guide has rich historical knowledge and tour guide experience, thus bring us the best view and the best time to visit the monastery.

It was just the two of us and our guide Panos the first day and an additional traveler on our second day in Kalambaka. The tour was well paced with plenty of time to take pictures and linger at the beautiful sites we saw. Panos took pictures of us , spoke good English and was very patient. We got to see a beautiful sunset and were given recommendations for different restaurants in the area. The logistics from moving from Athens to Kalambaka worked perfectly. The train and then meeting the bus worked like clockwork. We also had added drama to our trip because we left our passports in our hotel safe. But with the help of the hotel and our tour operator, we were able to have our passport sent by bus the following morning to Athens where we pick them up at the bus station . We were leaving that same day for a cruise for two weeks. Thanks to their kindness and hard work they saved the day for us . We are ever grateful for their help and kindness. I totally recommend visiting Meteora and spending the night. It was a beautiful reprieve from the city of Athens and cooler in temperature. Thank you again for a wonderful experience in so many ways.

We stayed overnight at a small hotel in Kalambaka, which was very clean, about a 3-star standard, and included breakfast. The town itself is absolutely charming — small, cute, and safe — perfect for wandering after the day’s sightseeing.The real highlight of our experience was our guide, Panos. He was incredible: a local guide, young, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to ensuring we had the best experience possible despite less-than-ideal weather. He took us to all the best viewpoints and monasteries and even gave excellent dining recommendations in Kalambaka.This tour is family-friendly, but travelers should expect a fair bit of walking and some stairs at the monasteries. Good shoes are a must, and it’s helpful to pack for variable weather.Overall, we highly recommend this two-day excursion. It’s a fantastic way to see a unique part of Greece and escape the busyness of Athens for a couple of days — well worth the time and cost.

The tour turned out to be excellent, once we were able to finally get to Kalabaka. Our guide, Panos, was excellent (a native of the area with much knowledge and enthusiasm and able to keep the attention of four 16-17 year olds) and the driver of our van was excellent. We loved the area, teh tour, and the commentary. The only issue was NOT being able to get assistance from Cool Destinations, whom I contacted with, when we had no train tickets & needed to board the train in about an hour. It was incredibly stressful and difficult. I had no time to sort this out during the first 7 days of our tour. We finally found out after much consternation, that the train tickets had been sent by Whats App, which I rarely use. There should have been better/more communication between Cool Destinations and me in the 7-8 days leading up to the tour. This was a small part of a larger tour that i planned for our group - 9 people - so there were many logistics to track, and Cool Destinations was very hard to work with - unhelpful, and when i used the app to get HELP, all i got was advertisements for other tours!!! Awful. They expected me to get any help via "frequently asked questions!" Very difficult. I finally was bale to waste 1/2 an hour to finally get a phone number to call for help. I plan trips regularly for my groups, and I will think twice before using Cool Destinations or Cool Destinations again. My other tour operators (Tours by Locals) were much easier to work with. All it takes is a HUMAN and some actual "customer service" to make this work well. Again, though, the tour itself was really great and i highly recommend it. If there is a way to get this tour in a way not using Cool Destinations or Cool Destinations, that would be perfect.
