Meteora Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

Exceptional tour and the most kind encouraging and understanding guides. They didn’t make a big deal when my daughter scratched her elbow, yet provided all the support when she needed. I would take every tour they guide.

We had an unforgettable sunset horseback ride in Meteora! Despite being inexperienced riders, the ride was easy and relaxing thanks to the sweet, calm and obedient horses. Our guide, Lefteris, took us to beautiful viewpoints overlooking the monasteries and made lots of photos and videos, which he shared with us afterwards.When we discovered our car had a flat tyre, the team drove us back to our hotel and even arranged to have it replaced. Their kindness and hospitality exceeded all our expectations.Riding through Meteora at sunset was truly magical and one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommended! Jurgen and Claudia

Delphi is definitely one of those places you must have a tour guide. Carol was a fantastic tour guide. We had our two daughters ages 9 and 13 and she made it a point to adjust her story telling and tour to engage our kids. She connected what we saw to prior sites and cities we visited. She also has an amazing way of delivering the tour as a well connected story that not only contained factual details but made the history come alive. We dozens of tours a year and this one is top notch not to mention a great value for a private tour.

We loved this experience. Its a fantastic way to see part of Meteora, without loads of tourists and in such a unique way. We were experting to go into a monaterary as part of this expereince but that wasnt the case. We would defiently recommend.

The itinerary was perfectly timed, with no unnecessary waiting, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable.Our driver and tour guides were incredibly friendly, patient, and spoke excellent English. They shared fascinating insights into the history, geography, and significance of Meteora, making the visit even more memorable.What impressed me the most was their outstanding customer service. I accidentally left a pouch containing my chargers and reading glasses on one of the buses and only realized it while I was on my way to Athens. The driver immediately offered to send it to my address in Athens. This level of honesty, kindness, and dedication is rare and truly deserves recognition.I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Meteora. It was a wonderful experience in every way.

We had the best two days in Greece with Yannis as our driver cum guide cum historian cum restaurant guide ! He was very friendly and took good care of our entire group. Punctual and professional ! The restaurants he chose for us were top class ! We are now going back with plenty of memories of the entire trip and Yannis has a big role to play in it !

I would highly recommend this tour. Christos was an absolutely amazing guide/teacher to learn more about taking photos with your camera or your phone. He taught me some very important steps when dealing with low light, bright lights, landscape nuances, and quite a few other helpful tips with my SLR camera. He also showed me all kinds of little short-cuts with my I-phone and how to get the best out of that camera. He was very personable, very professional and made sure you knew what he had just taught you before moving on to the next step. And the scenery in Meteora is out of this world. Even if you don't know how to take photographs, just going to the places Christos takes you, will leave you breathless. I would definitely tell all my friends to do this tour if and when they go to Meteora. The tour was Top Notch. 5 out of 5.

Our whole experience with Nikos Loukas tour group was seamless from start to finish! We found the booking process easy, with great communication. Then we had a fantastic day traveling between Athens and Meteora with our driver, Yannis! Yannis was prompt at our scheduled pick up time, and we felt completely cared for throughout the day. He is warm, kind, professional, and he taught us a lot about Greece. What a gem!
