Our guide was very informative, and knowledgeable about Lithuania, Vilnius, and the Hill of Crosses. She made a few stops on the way, answered many questions, and allowed over an hour to explore the two areas with historical crosses, and crosses as memorials. The only negative was the vehicle was too small for four tall men. We had a great stop for Lithuanian lunch after the crosses.

The driver was very keen to introduce a lot of local landscapes along the way, so we could get a better understanding of Poland and Lithuania. Although it was raining on that day, it was an unforgettable journey to happen to have local events, a lively market and performances, and free apples. The along-the-route guide introduces we bought fresh forested mushrooms and blueberries.

The company had quick response to our inquiries and were able to help with the day visa. As US citizens we were unsure about being able to cross the Belarus border. Martynas did all the paperwork the day prior, picked us up from our Airbnb early morning and we spent a wonderful day over in Belarus. He was very accurate with timing it would take to cross back. All 3 of us really enjoyed the trip and Martynas is a great guide. His English is excellent, he was very funny and enjoyable to spend a 16 hour day with. Highly recommend this company.

I thoroughly recommend this trip to everyone, whether you are interested in Jewish history or not. It is all part of the Lithuanian experience, even though some folk may find the Holocaust Museum distressing. However, it gave the history of the arrival of the Jews, who were invited to Lithuania, from the 15th century, and informatively moves through to modern times. Huge care has been taken to present a well-researched history, and the movies that have been made to reflect the era could have been directed by Zeffirelli himself. They have used the best writers and cameramen to paint beautiful scenes with poignant music.My excellent guide also took me to the village that my parents came from, and had done extensive research on the times that they lived there and told me facts that I was unaware of.In addition to this, I did the tour of “Jewish Vilnius”, the small and large Ghettos and the original courtyard homes and synagogue, as well as the “stumble stones that are scattered around the area.I must stress the professionalism and the wide knowledge of the guides. By far, they were the ones who made the greatest impression on me. Although I had spent several months doing research before visiting Lithuania, the guides had more knowledge than I could find on the internet. However, they went beyond just dispensing information. They did not present their information as though it were a lecture. The history was told with humour and sensitivity, and honesty with empathy and understanding as though they had lived through the events.Bravo to Lithuanian Tourism for making my holiday and Adventure!

Guide was friendly, personable and very knowledgeable about the area. He moved at our pace. He kept good watch on our time for return to ship. Entrance into Cold War Museum and Amber Museum is an extra charge but very reasonable. Very nice to be ahead of the tour buses in the museum.
