Tom of Tom's Taxi was awesome! We had the best time. Tom showed us so much...much better than any group tour could've been. Do the private tour. You won't regret it.

What an awesome day with Tom! Don't sleep on this excursion. By the end of the day, I felt like we were friends. We saw so many beautiful places. We'll come back to see the northern half of shetland and we'll ask for Tom. I only wish I hadn't forgotten to take a pic with Tom. Next time!!!

This tour was fantastic. By far the best experience we've had. Our tour guide, Ashif was outstanding. Very knowledgeable and accommodating.

Jacqueline is a hoot. Took us wherever we wanted to go. She was knowledgeable and made sure we saw everything. We even saw a few Puffins! Visited a few Shetland ponies. We really enjoyed Shetland. Beautiful place. Hope to return soon and explore more.

Amanda was fabulous. She is knowledgeable about the area and its history. Personable. Made us a homemade lunch (she’s a chef!). We met interesting people along the way and saw so much. Amanda is flexible as well as having the ability to understand our needs. Can’t gush about her enough. We are Team Amanda!

Absolutely amazing! By far our best tour and guide! Jacqueline and driver John were so knowledgeable and made our time on their island magical!! Shetland is so beautiful and is a must see island!!

The tour itself was wonderful. Sarah was a fantastic guide and very knowledgeable about the area and the history. We did have issues with communication with the tour company that provided the tour. We were told conflicting things. In addition, after being squished into a small car on another tour (4 largish adults), I asked if we would be in a bigger vehicle before the cancellation date. I was promised we would be in a vehicle with 6-8 seats. Perfect. Unfortunately, that is not what happened. Our vehicle, although larger, still only had 5 seats, with three adults again being squished across the back. That made it difficult to see, to get in and out and buckle, and just uncomfortable for an all day tour. When I messaged Pilar about this, her response was we should have booked a larger group if we wanted a larger vehicle. Possibly true, but she had promised the larger vehicle for a group of four and then didn’t make good on her promise. We did enjoy the sights and Sarah’s commentary, but beware of promises from the company (Top Private Tours UK).

Despite foggy damp weather, Jacqueline took us to spots that were clear and memorable. She was knowledgeable and shared great stories of the Shetland people, places and culture. A very nice day!

Travelled all over. Went to town and through the country. Knowledgeable and very enjoyable. Would do it again.

Asif met us at the pier. Unfortunately our ship was late and was also departing earlier than expected. He took it in stride and still got all the expected stops in. We learned alot of the history of the islands. We got to see puffins and also petted the Shetland ponies.

It takes a full day to see all of the beautiful sights. Suggest private van v’s bus due to some of the areas that need you to walk up hills.

Good guide - but we expected and booked this based on the photo of the vehicle that was shown on website - a van with 2 double seats facing each other - very disappointed that as a group of 4, one sat in front seat, 2 in back seat & 1 in rear . Truly the only reason that we booked was because of the website photo of van seat configuration so really bad.

Jeff was an excellent guide! Highly recommend to anyone who wants a personalized tour full of history and beautiful landmarks.
