Madrid Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

We have had great experiences booking through Cool Destinations for museum tours. We did the small group tour of the Prado recently, and it was most definitely a 5-star experience. Our guide Stefani was phenomenal. (Believe the local company was The Guides You Need.) Communications throughout the process was flawless and she was so knowledgeable and experienced. Brought a whole new level of understanding for me of both the art and the history of Spain. Outstanding tour.

This palace is a must see portion of your visit to Madrid! The palace is pristine and exceptional in its design, artwork and furnishings and our tour guide Leida was fantastic! Skipping the line and touring the palace with such an expert guide made for an outstanding experience! Highly recommend!

That it is a great opportunity to learn the history of Madrid through its art/paintings, and culture evolution, makes the trip that more personal. We are so glad we did it. Would highly recommend. Our tour leader Daniel was very nice, knowledgeable, personable and took care of us very well. We were part of a private tour which made the experience extra special.

We have tried going to palaces with and without guides and I am telling you now-GET THE GUIDED TOUR! It just enhances the overall experience- you understand what you are seeing, you move quickly to the not too important parts and you get further recommendations from an expert. Not to mention skipping long lines! This tour was straightforward and well organized, kept within the said duration. We just opted to see the Royal Armory on our own- the admission is part of the ticket but not part of the guided tour. Don’t miss this! Just ask your guide to accompany you to the Royal Armory before the tour ends… The experience was worth it- we learned so much!

Fabulous flamingo! The venue has the down. We were there early, so it was nice to sit for a moment and have some sangria though I don’t recommend because we did not finish before it was time to go in and they encouraged us to take our drinks, but then there isn’t a lot of space for the drinks inside the venue. The guy next to us knocked into our seated drink and made a mess. Also, we had to go to the bathroom during the performance, which is not ideal.But the flamingo itself, the musicians, the introduction, and the fabulous dancers was just wonderful. I would not hesitate to attend. Enjoy.

Wonderful show, the venue is a little cramped but it’s just for one hour. The dancers were fantastic, the musicians great, all in all worth a visit.

We absolutely loved this Flamenco show! It’s a small event with a really lovely, friendly atmosphere, full of Spanish traditions. Definitely worth going.

Ionna was a great guide-she was fun and knowledgeable and the stops were stellar!

David was very knowledgeable about Spanish history and had wonderful information to share about the places we visited. He was a very nice and respectful young man. He made the tour very interesting and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Would definitely recommend a tour with David.

Wow! This was an unforgettable experience in the best way possible. The flamenco show was as powerful as could be. The venue is a bit small, but it provides for an intimate atmosphere that we appreciated. At the end, we were even able to meet and get to know the performers.
