Llandudno Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

Unforgettable trip! Had plenty of time to take some great pictures. The tour guide was lovely and had great knowledge of history. ✨📸

I have to say that the Llandudno, Portmeirion, Snowdonia and Castles Tour was a spectacular success. Everything aligned perfectly, from the excellent weather in the morning, when visiting the towns of Conwy and Carnarvon, to the moody, misty mountains of the Snowdonia (Eryri) National Park, during the afternoon. Of course, Portmeirion is a delight in itself, whatever the weather. Our driver and guide, Felix, was brilliant in both departments. Safe, confident and most professional as we travelled over all types of roads during our full day. His commentaries were clear, knowledgeable, enlightening and witty and used appropriately. He is a really pleasant, most approachable and thoroughly helpful guy. We also enjoyed the fact that the coach, with the smaller numbers on board, gave us opportunities to get acquainted with all other members of our tour party. Given all of the above, what made our day even more memorable, it was my wife's birthday. A fact that was diplomatically included within Felix's commentary and suitably acknowledged by everyone in the group. I strongly recommend this tour.

Very well organized tour, especially with the guide/driver Felix. He is jovial, helpful and knowledgeable about the history of Snowdonia. Head of this for a long time, it is breathtaking to have the actual visit.

Excellent service, our pickup point in Llandudno was the Travelodge, but because we were quite a distance away Trevor our guide said he would pick us up from our hotel, which saved us half an hour, from there on into our tour it was brilliant, from start to finish very knowledgeable, brought light into the history of Anglesey, please don't drive yourself as you would miss out of all the hidden gems that only someone from the area knows. Had a great trip to Beaumaris with fun stops along the way. Learned to pronounce the longest town name in the world, had a beautiful view of the suspension bridge and Mount Snowdon.

Our guide Felix was very good, great driver and informative.

You saw beautiful landscapes on the tour and learned a lot about the history and geography.

What a great way to see Anglesey! Trevor was fantastic! He had interesting facts & was a pleasure having him as our guide for the day. We had plenty of time at each stop & we’re lucky to have good weather. The lunch & tea/coffee was a nice bonus to the day. Trevor really made the day memorable!!

This was a small group of 7 , a mixture of singles, couple and small family group. We were given a full day tour of Snowdonia seeing many of the beautiful sites. The leader kept us fully appraised of the geography and history which was informative and amusing. The group became acquainted with each other during the day which added to the enjoyment. I am the oldest at 82 but managed to see everything that was on offer. I would recommend anyone to go on this trip.

It was brilliant. We live 10 miles away from Llandudno so have been there very often. However, we saw lots of places we hadn't seen before.

Brilliant trip very informative husband and wife team very knowledgeable transport was modern lovely home made coffee on one of the stops all in the price. The whole tour completed at a leisurely pace highly recommended happy days

We did the Finding Alice Tour booking only a couple of hours in advance not knowing what to expect at all. We had a really enjoyable time, the app worked more than fine and the puzzles were good to solve with the help of the starter package. Would recommend it for a nice day out!

We have nothing but praise for this tour. Our guide, Trevor was excellent. He was informative, friendly and entertaining. We felt guilty because we were the only two people signed up for that day's tour, so we offered to forego the tour, but he insisted on taking just the two of us. In fact, since he lives in Llandudno, where we were staying, he picked us up at our hotel and saved us a train ride to Holyhead. He and his wife, Lawrie (who drove) treated us like visiting family. All of the stops were great, with enough time at each stop. He did his best to teach us to say "Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch" but we weren't embarrassingly bad at it. We enjoyed a snack at the tea room in the community center in Beaumaris, in lieu of touring the interior of Beaumaris Castle. The highlight of the tour was probably the cliffs and lighthouse at South Stack - spectacular on a sunny afternoon. Because there were no passengers to get back to the ferry, we were also able to visit the Trefignath burial tomb, a set of three burial chambers older than Stonehenge, a site where we were the only visitors. Trevor even dropped us off at the hotel we were staying the night before catching the ferry, rather than dropping us off at the ferry terminal. Even though the tour was just under four hours, it was amazing how much we saw, and at the end we felt like we were saying goodbye to friends.

I am not really a "flowery" person generally. However, I walked a distance of 7km through the gardens with my sister. The gardens were absolutely beautiful and the routes were really tranquil and a place to truly find inner peace.

This tour packed a lot into one day, but didn't skimp on the details. Chris is an amazing tour guide, energetic and fantastically engaging! Nature and wildlife around the Great Orme, three unique castles, breathtaking views in Snowdonia, and a couple hidden gems not far off the beaten path. If you have the chance, I highly recommend you take advantage of his knowledge and love of north Wales!
