Llandudno Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

Had a great trip to Beaumaris with fun stops along the way. Learned to pronounce the longest town name in the world, had a beautiful view of the suspension bridge and Mount Snowdon.

His great sense of humor made the entire journey even more enjoyable.The tour was very well organized, with breathtaking scenery, wonderful stops and plenty of opportunities to take beautiful photos.A truly memorable experience and a fantastic way to discover North Wales. We had a short window in Llandudno and signed up for this tour to be able to see a lot in a days time. We actually planned our entire trip around doing Snowdonia and the 3 castles tour rearranging our prior stay to get here on the date this tour was offered through Cool Destinations. I am thankful the trip was not cancelled as there were only 4 of us in the tour. Thankful to the owner to allow the tour to continue with just 4 people. Our guide Freddie was knowledgeable and a great guide. We had bad rain and wind when we were in Snowdonia and for the rest of the day. We were very wet but Freddie did a good job accessing the situation and adapting accordingly. The only part that we could have done without is the lunch stop being at an adventure facility. I wished we had picked up sandwiches in conwy and ate them here instead of the expensive meal that was just ok at the zip line cafe. Other than that the itinerary was what we were looking for in the day.

What a great way to see Anglesey! Trevor was fantastic! He had interesting facts & was a pleasure having him as our guide for the day. We had plenty of time at each stop & we’re lucky to have good weather. The lunch & tea/coffee was a nice bonus to the day. Trevor really made the day memorable!!

Trevor, our guide, was very engaging & knowledgeable. He informed us in advance that there might be some changes to the itinerary due to the bad weather. Through it all he made sure of the group's safety & well-being. The bad weather surely did not dampen his enthusiasm. Trevor showed his integrity in so many ways, even extending advice/assistance for our next few days' activities. Thank you, Trevor!

This was a small group of 7 , a mixture of singles, couple and small family group. We were given a full day tour of Snowdonia seeing many of the beautiful sites. The leader kept us fully appraised of the geography and history which was informative and amusing. The group became acquainted with each other during the day which added to the enjoyment. I am the oldest at 82 but managed to see everything that was on offer. I would recommend anyone to go on this trip.

Trevor was a very knowledgeable local guide. He was adaptable with pickup and drop off locations. The tour itself was excellent and covered everything we'd hoped.to see and even more as we drove round.Lunch being provided made the day smoother and less stressful as some of the locations were were extremely busy.

It was brilliant. We live 10 miles away from Llandudno so have been there very often. However, we saw lots of places we hadn't seen before.

Brilliant trip very informative husband and wife team very knowledgeable transport was modern lovely home made coffee on one of the stops all in the price. The whole tour completed at a leisurely pace highly recommended happy days

We did the Finding Alice Tour booking only a couple of hours in advance not knowing what to expect at all. We had a really enjoyable time, the app worked more than fine and the puzzles were good to solve with the help of the starter package. Would recommend it for a nice day out!

We have nothing but praise for this tour. Our guide, Trevor was excellent. He was informative, friendly and entertaining. We felt guilty because we were the only two people signed up for that day's tour, so we offered to forego the tour, but he insisted on taking just the two of us. In fact, since he lives in Llandudno, where we were staying, he picked us up at our hotel and saved us a train ride to Holyhead. He and his wife, Lawrie (who drove) treated us like visiting family. All of the stops were great, with enough time at each stop. He did his best to teach us to say "Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch" but we weren't embarrassingly bad at it. We enjoyed a snack at the tea room in the community center in Beaumaris, in lieu of touring the interior of Beaumaris Castle. The highlight of the tour was probably the cliffs and lighthouse at South Stack - spectacular on a sunny afternoon. Because there were no passengers to get back to the ferry, we were also able to visit the Trefignath burial tomb, a set of three burial chambers older than Stonehenge, a site where we were the only visitors. Trevor even dropped us off at the hotel we were staying the night before catching the ferry, rather than dropping us off at the ferry terminal. Even though the tour was just under four hours, it was amazing how much we saw, and at the end we felt like we were saying goodbye to friends.

I am not really a "flowery" person generally. However, I walked a distance of 7km through the gardens with my sister. The gardens were absolutely beautiful and the routes were really tranquil and a place to truly find inner peace.

This tour packed a lot into one day, but didn't skimp on the details. Chris is an amazing tour guide, energetic and fantastically engaging! Nature and wildlife around the Great Orme, three unique castles, breathtaking views in Snowdonia, and a couple hidden gems not far off the beaten path. If you have the chance, I highly recommend you take advantage of his knowledge and love of north Wales!
