Frankfort Travel Guides (Updated October 2026)

Highly recommend buying this! Was so helpful and learned alot.

Absolutely turned a normal ride into an enjoyable, entertaining and informative trip. We stopped at several places we never would have even known about.

The audio guide for the M22 tour from Traverse City was amazing. Learned some interesting facts along the way and the tour guide always told us where to turn if we ever wanted to leave the tour and jump back in at any stop. Didn’t do the whole tour, just from Traverse city to Grand Traverse Lighthouse to Sleeping Bear Dunes and back to Traverse City. Quite the adventure.

This tour was really great and provided interesting and educational commentary while we explored the area for the first time. It worked flawlessly as we progressed passed the markers. I will look at additional tours in other areas after our experience here.

I absolutely loved the GuideAlong GPS Guided Tour of M-22 Lakeshore! It made my drive so much more enjoyable. The narrator was hilarious, engaging, and incredibly informative, sharing fascinating stories and interesting facts along the way. It truly felt like I had a knowledgeable local right there with us!I especially loved that he didn’t just stick to the main route—he gave me great suggestions for places to explore and things to see along the way, which made the adventure even more memorable. If you’re planning to drive M-22, I highly recommend GuideAlong! It’s the perfect companion for the trip and added so much to our experience. I loved every minute of it!

The tour took off right away without any prompting and stayed with us the whole route. Well worth the money!

We enjoyed the driving tour. It told us all about the top tourists spot worth visiting and suggested other, out of the way, spots that were worth seeing. We ended up taking two days to complete the drive. It was easy to pickup where we had left off.

This was such an awesome experience. We got to see so many amazing things. Although we did not make it through the entire tour, I really enjoyed because able to come back to it.

Fun experience once we figured out where to start.

Nice tour. Gave us information about the area.

Tour was helpful and informative. Had a difficult time getting it started. Glad we had it not being from the area.

Narrator felt like a friend in the back seat.

Jack (the name I gave him), was a great companion on my solo road trip! Even made me chuckle a few times. Appreciated all the history and local commentary. Will definitely do this again!

it was confusing about how to get started on the route, but after we got started, it was a lot of fun and very interesting and worthwhile.

We enjoyed the trip. It would be better if it came up on GPS. There were also activities that were closed for the season or do to the government shutdown. It would have been nice to know ahead of time.

We enjoyed the self guided tour. We found the information to be informative and relevant. The suggestions were excellent!
