Gilda was fabulous! Her beautiful Sicilian country estate was the perfect setting for this experience. From the large entrance gate to the pool and lovely home, everything was charming and welcoming. Even the table was beautifully set for our meal.The cooking class itself was fun and relaxed, and Gilda was knowledgeable and delightful throughout. We learned to make different types of pasta, sauces, and tiramisu, all while enjoying some wine and great conversation.Afterward, we sat down to generous portions of everything we had prepared, along with more wine. It was a wonderful way to spend the day and experience a little bit of Sicilian life and cooking.Gilda is an absolute delight. Highly recommend!

Great personalized Italian cooking lesson
Fantastic experience at instructor’s home. Very personalized. Greeted with a wonderful lunch with many dishes to try. Learned to make 3 different dishes and how to make several different pasta’s. Host showed us her garden and fruit trees. All ingredients were fresh from the garden. We tried 4 different homemade cellos, lemon cello, orange cello, and 2 others. So much enjoyed visiting with the host and learning to cook Sicilian dishes. Highly recommended.

My wife and I debated whether to take a day trip from Taormina to Syracuse and Ortigia. We are glad we went. Corrado was an excellent guide. He was knowledgeable and friendly. If you want to gain an understanding of all the various cultures and evolution of Sicily this is the tour to take.

Amazing Sicilian Experience
Our experience with Maria Rita was authentic Sicilian. The market experience was wonderful! The vendors and all of their fare were beautiful. Maria Rita was an exemplary instructor as well as entertaining. The group was the perfect size and we enjoyed interacting with them. The pistachio pesto, caponata, and tiramisu were molto delizioso! We will be trying to replicate these at home. I highly recommend this experience!

We had a fun, informative walking tour of Ortigia with Biagio. He shared a lot of history and fun facts about Siracusa and Ortigia. We ended our tour with a delicious lunch at Temple of Athena Restaurant. The restaurant was extremely accommodating for us. We had one person with a gluten - allergy and another vegetarian. The restaurant made delicious Gluten- free pasta and Bruschetta.

We always book cooking classes when we travel because it’s a great and fun way to learn and truly experience local cuisine, and we had an unbelievable time with Maria.She took us to a local market where we bought fruits, vegetables and seafood, and then went to her apartment where we made different pasta, sauces, salad, sardine rolls and grilled octopus. We then enjoyed it all with a bottle of wine for lunch.Maria was an amazing teacher and chef, and made us feel at home. We absolutely recommend everyone try this experience with her.

Ewa is a fantastic cook but above all a fantastic person. We kneaded, chatted, drank, joked, ate for hours as if we were friends forever. The focaccia, the bread and all the things he offered us / made us cook were delicious. If you want a slice of true hospitality, a full and different day, go to her. Our pasta making experience with Maria Rita was outstanding!! She is a beautiful woman, with incredible skill, passion and joy and she welcomed us into her home so generously! We made 3 types of pasta, 3 Sicilian sauces and tiramisu... followed by a shared meal at her table! Was a beautiful experience with Maria Rita and her husband Giuseppe they meet us right near the market unbelievable fresh produce, spices , fish and much more sampled some of the Sicilian street foods and Maria Rita explained a lot of the spices to us Then proceeded to their home where my wife and Maria made pasta. We then had a lovely lunch in their beautiful home. If you want to experience true Sicilian culture I would recommend this tour. I think few couples or a family would make it even more fun. Ciao

We had a wonderful time cooking with Teresa. She made us Sicilian spaghetti, an empanada with spinach, some sourdough bread, chocolate salami, and finished off with her special tiramisu. While we both struggled a bit with languages, the IPhones worked well. She was very knowledgeable about the markets in Ortigia and found us many snacks to try during our market tour. She can also cook wonderful fish dinners. Her stuffed squid I’d fun to prepare and even more scrumptious to eat! She welcomed us into her house but can also cook at your location if you have basic cooking tools and utensils. Don’t miss an opportunity to cook with Teresa. You get a real feel of local life in Sicily by availing yourself of the opportunity to cook with Teresa.

Marco was a friendly and fun companion throughout the day and very informative.He has an in depth knowledge of Etna and Sicily in gender. And also about the behaviour of bees which made the honey and wine tasting even more fascinating.He also went the extra mile sending directions to my phone for other towns we wanted to see - perfect viewpoints and places to park etc.Thank you Marco!
