Raiatea Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

The tour was a spiritual experience. The time on the boat, snorkeling and motu island time was incredible. The food was the best meal I’ve had on my entire French Polynesia trip. The tour guide/owner is an absolute sweetheart. We had a wide variety of people and languages and he accommodated everyone. We even had a person on the boat who didn’t know how to swim and he assisted her. I didn’t want this day to end. This tour is such a great deal.

What an amazing day. The rum factory and pearl farm were very interesting and informative with the visit to the vanilla farm being fabulous. The coral garden was stunning and an unbelievable experience, we took our own Snorkel masks and water shoes which we would strongly advise. Our lunch was amazing and there was a good variety of on offer. The after lunch entertainment provided by the staff was hilarious and great fun to say the least. Our day was made from start to finish by our captain Nui. He was courteous, conscientious and caring, making sure we had everything we needed and more whilst having the best sense of humour one could wish for from our host. Highly recommend this tour.

This was an amazing experience!! Our guide was knowledgeable and even played the ukulele and sang. Very entertaining!! We learned a lot about vanilla, pearls and rum. The snorkeling was great, so many fish and other creatures to see. The lunch was very good and we even had some entertainment there. Everyone we encountered was friendly and willing to share their knowledge and deep respect for their island . This was our favorite excursion in French Polynesia!!

Our guides were wonderful and friendly, great sense of humor, knowledge and attention to the guests on the tour. Would highly recommend. This was a top highlight of our time on Raiatea/Tahaa.

Tura was an amazing guide, attentive, friendly, and thoughtful! Fabulous walk worthy of immersion in a postcard scene The meal was worthy of a gourmet restaurant And the various stops were interesting (perfect for bringing back little local souvenirs for our loved ones - Pearl Vanilla Rum) We will come back because it's Tura 🫶

Roy was an excellent guide who told us all about Raiatea.and Tahaa and took us to an amazing part of the Tahaa coral garden where we have never seen so much healthy coral and a great variety of fish. We highly recommend Papa Zulu and Roy!

Very interesting tour of the island of Tahaa led by a very friendly guide. After visiting a pearl farm, a vanilla producer, and a distillery, we made a guided snorkeling stop in a very beautiful coral garden as well as a stop to swim with blacktip reef sharks. The meal on the motu Tuahi was delicious, surrounded by a just splendid setting! An excursion that one can only recommend!

Travel through the heart of the island and into the middle of the caldera. Enjoy the verdand vistas. Visit a pearl farm and learn how these beautiful objects are created. Finally visit Gerrard's farm to taste his exquisite local honey infused with home grown vanilla.. The highlight for me was the visit to the ancient marae. Kia Kaha.

We did the tour with James's wife who shared great knowledge with us about the river and what it could provide to the Polynesians (food source, medicinal...) all along the way. We were also able to enjoy a very welcome fruit-based snack. James and his wife are very concerned about the well-being of their clients and their satisfaction. We had a very good time in their company and recommend them with our eyes closed! A big thank you to you!

Superb tour of the island of Taha’a with great stops: pearl farm, vanilla plantation, coral garden, and motu! The lunch was delicious. And a thousand thanks to our guide Eiko for her kindness!
