Yukon Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

The tour was excellent and Chris was a great tour guide. We loved the whole trip and the scenery was amazing. My only suggestion was that there should be more time in Carcross and less time at the Wildlife Centre. We didn't have enough time to see what we wanted in Carcross, plus get a bite to eat. Wildlife Area was great for the gold panning but we saw everything else quickly and then just waited around.

I had a great time in the Kluane national park day tour.The park is beautiful and Alejandro was an excellent tour guide very friendly and doing extra stops for us

We did the Yukon Gold Experience feat. Emerald Lake & Carcross tour and had Chris as our guide and it was absolutely fantastic. Learned so much about the area and Chris was a phenomenal tour guide. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Whitehorse. Our only complaint is we wish we got more time in the desert and Carcross to explore and less time at the Wild Adventure Yukon.

An excellent trip on the river with guide Kyle. We stopped at a few points to look at interesting points along the way and when we saw 2 eagles. They were so beautiful. We also saw a huge beaver lodge and a cute beaver, who let us watch him swimming alongside the boat. Kyle was accommodating, interesting, knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed his company. It was an exhilarating experience and we are so glad we did this.

We booked the Arctic Summer Explorer tour from Whitehorse to Inuvik and it was great. From Dawson to Inuvik on the Dempster Highway we crossed the Arctic Circle and our guide told us a lot about the history of the north. In Tuktoyaktuk we visited a local first-nation family and they invited us for a traditional meal and share stories about life on the Arctic ocean.

We didn't know if we would be able to see the Northern Lights during our tour with Arctic Range Adventure knowing that it's a natural phenomenon and appears to be hard to predict. However, the tour was perfectly timed and we saw the lights at full display. I highly recommend them. We also went with another tour company a day earlier but we missed seeing the lights since their tour finished one hour earlier.

I booked a tour to Kluane National Park with them and the scenery is fantastic.The mountains and the landscape make the trip worth by itself.

I love that the tours were well organized and the guides are very friendly and knowledgeable. I only had time for a weekend getaway - might do it again.

Kyle was a wonderful guide so kind and patient.. He has such a good knowledge of the region surroundings and its history and gives me lots of information as we went along. A keen eye he spotted eagles, ducks and would stop so we could get closer for photos. A truly amazing tour on the Yukon!

From the moment we were picked up, everything was perfectly organized and the staff made us feel so welcome. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing the beauty of the Yukon.The viewing location was peaceful and away from city lights, giving us an incredible view of the Northern Lights dancing across the sky. The cozy heated cabin, hot drinks, and snacks made the evening even more enjoyable while we waited for nature’s show.If you’re visiting Whitehorse, this is an experience you absolutely shouldn’t miss. We had a wonderful day with Sandra. It became obvious while walking through the town of Carcross that she is loved by all. She was extremely knowledgeable of the area. She drove us beyond the itinerary so we could see an area further down the highway which was spectacular. Her personal insight as to what it is like to live off grid in the area certainly added to understanding the true grit of the people of the Yukon.

Really well organised . Extremely friendly guides and staff . Good itinerary with some downtimes built in . Ideal for first time travellers to the Yukon

Juan was very personable and very knowledgeable. It was great until he played a morbid Jack London audio tape on the last leg of the trip. It was macabre, and disturbing to two members of our group, including the 14 year old. It was well intended but inappropriate.

Our northern lights tours, Yukon Wildlife Preserve, and city tour were operated by Arctic Range Adventure, and the experience was excellent. Everything was always very well organized and punctual, and the guides were super friendly and made the trip even more fun.

A wonderful experience thanks to Viktor. The pick up/drop off to our door was great. Viktor was friendly, thoughtful and helpful. We were very lucky to see the lights and a beautiful full moon plus Viktor shared some info on the constellations too.
