Taupo Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

This was amazing! We all loved going up and down the river so fast! The 360s were a huge hit and had everyone holding on tight! The warm handle bars were a great touch to make holding on tight more comfortable! Great experience!

Lots of fun and the guide was great. Unfortunately there was no videio yet available on board as that would have just topped it off as a great gift

Lovely little boat, very welcoming & informative

Great service and very informative travelling on Lake Taupo. Added treat was complimentary biscuit. The carvings were intricate

I was only able to booked for the 12,000ft tandem jump on Cool Destinations but was able to upgrade to the 16,500ft jump at the site. Definitely worth it! My tandem guide, David, kept me calm and confident from start to finish, his professionalism made the whole experience feel safe. The views were absolutely breathtaking and the jump itself was an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime thrill. Highly recommended.

An excellent river float, all equipment was provided and our guide Glen was superb. He shared local knowledge, helped get in and out of canoes and ensured we had an enjoyable experience. There was minimal skill needed, it really was a float down river. Scenery is stunning! Highly recommmed this trip when in Taupo.

Really fun experience, our guide was informative and friendly and made the experience really enjoyable.

Got a cheap deal on bookme and chatgtp recommended this to me as the best tour for 0-3year olds, they were right! Nice sized boat to walk around and prams allowed in. Kids well catered for with colouring books. Felt safe and wasnt too long so they didnt get bored.Freshly baked muffins were delicious 😋 and my son enjoyed feeding the ducks. Fishing for trout we got a smaller one, so threw it back. Probably good.

Great company , loved the relaxed low key vibe of staff and guides. Very friendly, great hosts. The trip itself is top notch., 100% go, go, go......versafe, very fast, very fun, highly recommend. Thanks team at RapidJet, we had a ball.

A must do especially with an awesome crew skipper very profesional can see why he was hired.he is a hidden gem and profesional. Awesome comfortable cruise to Maori rock carvings Recomend as a must see

Great experience. The carvings are great and can only be seen from the water. The guide Glen was very friendly and knowledgeable and showed us a cool swimming spot

Had an awesome time, really great jump. Shot my cuzzy Jack Procuta for the great jump and support

Both guide and captain were knowledgeable and friendly. They were happy to chat and answer questions.

A wonderful tour, Glen was super knowledgeable about the lake and the carving and I was able to get right up to the rock to admire it - much closer than cruise boats will take you! Beautiful scenery to admire as you paddle, I had the choice of kayaking in a single or double kayak and chose the double as I was tired even before starting due to other pre-booked activities, definitely helped being two people paddling. Would definitely return for other tours, thanks so much for a fun Sunday!

Had an absolutely fantastic time sailing in Taupo with Skipper Dave and assistant Morgan. The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. Dave and Morgan were friendly, knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the trip. The views of Lake Taupo were incredible, and sailing out on the water was such a peaceful and memorable experience. Not to mention the hot coffee on the cold windy day was amazing.Dave really made the trip enjoyable with his great personality and local knowledge. Highly recommend going!

Wonderful experience! Clear instructions from the friendly welcoming staff. We (three of us) had a great time working together to get from room to room. Not too hard ,not too easy .Liked that we had the option to continue to an advanced level. Thoroughly recommend.
