St John Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

Our night kayaking trip was so much fun! Our guide, Cristiano, was so knowledgeable and enjoyable. His jokes were great! We saw many large tarpons and some reef sharks as well as bats. Will definately do this again next trip. Highly recommended.

Our group of seven had an AMAZING day with Stormy Pirates! Captain Dave and First Mate Jackson made the entire experience so much fun from beginning to end.Dave was incredibly knowledgeable about the islands and kept us entertained with stories and interesting information along the way. Jackson made sure we were well taken care of all day—plenty of food, plenty of drinks, and lots of laughs!We snorkeled, paddleboarded, swam, explored, and had plenty of time to just kick back and enjoy being out on the beautiful Caribbean water. It never felt rushed, and they really made the day feel like it was all about our group.We also loved learning that both Dave and Jackson are military veterans. That made the experience even more special to us, and we truly appreciated getting to know them a little throughout the day.By the end of the trip, it felt less like we had spent the day with a captain and first mate and more like we had spent the day on the water with a couple of new friends.If you’re considering Stormy Pirates—BOOK IT! We can’t recommend Dave and Jackson highly enough. They gave our group a day we’ll be talking about for a long time. We would absolutely go out with them again! 🌴☀️🍹⚓️

Took off from the Westin St. John, picked up more passengers at the Ritz Carleton St. Thomas, and headed to Virgin Gorda. There were about 50 people. It was a fairly long (90min) boat ride but the people on the boat were FUN. The Baths were a bus ride from the dock. Those big rocks are crazy! Well worth the trip. Then a pretty nice lunch at the Top of the Baths. On the way back we snorkeled at Norman Island. The guides were great, open bar was great, trip was great. Highly recommend!

Great day aboard the Island Time! Crew worked very hard, they were great! Sorry, only name I can remember is Sierra. Would have liked to have had more time at The Baths, felt a little rushed to get through it. Linch was great. Snorkeling spot after The Baths was great! Drinks after snorkeling were great! Fun day, would highly recommend!

Jen is a wonderful and informative guide and made sure our day was well spent around the island. It was a last minute booking, and she was incredibly responsive and accommodating to my schedule

This is a fantastic trip with a beautiful beach to snorkel. Parking is a bet challenging in the area if you have a car so I would recommend taking a taxi. Great guides and history of the island.

We did a 6 hour charter and had a great day on the water around St. Thomas with stops at a private beach and lunch at St. John’s. Brandon, our captain, was knowledgeable about the islands and enjoyable to boat with. Would highly recommend!

Doug, our guide, made the experience the Best!! His instruction and guidance made us feel safe so we could have tons of fun! We saw tons of fish, fisherman bats and enjoyed the onshore lights of St. Thomas

Absolutely wonderful time, the most fun we've had on Jet Skis. Our tour guide D'moi Martin was fantastic and really showed us the island in a way we had nver experienced!! We would highly recommend this tour!!

Great overall experience! Snorkeling, drinks, boat and crew. Loved the sailing. And best snorkeling ever.

Everything about this tour was amazing! The food at lime out was better than I could have imagined. We enjoyed every snorkel stop. Especially lovango where we swam with nurse sharks. Next time we are on St. John we will be booking another tour with stormy pirates!

A must do on your trip to the VIs. You will LOVE Jenn. We fell in love with St John all because of her. Every minute was awe-inspiring, informative and so much fun. She will customize it to your liking or you can totally leave it up to her. Worth every penny! Can’t wait to go back!

It was exactly what we hoped it would be! I appreciated that they were honest about the windy conditions and that it would be a hard paddle to Scott Beach. The beach itself was lovely. Our guide, Kenny, made sure we saw lots of cool stuff on the snorkel - a sea turtle, octupi, squid, a sting ray, and tons of beautiful fish. Kenny was incredibly friendly and made the experience fun for our whole family.

An amazing boat ride with Captain Mike celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. Great drinks, snacks, and beautiful views throughout. Captain Mike is so informative and fun / just the vibe we were looking for!

Fun day from start to finish. The boat was beautiful and the crew was amazing! Food and drinks were great and plentiful. Snorkel equipment and towels provided. The crew was able to beach the boat so we didn’t even have to get soggy dollars! Would highly recommend

We had a great time snorkeling. Brianna was great and very knowledgeable about what we might see and the island.
