Ragusa Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

Selina was amazing! We arrived late but she communicated with us the whole time and arranged an alternative meeting spot and provided directions (and even the bus timetable) and then tailored the tour to suit. We were the only people on the tour, and she provided lots of detailed information about the history and architecture (and was happy for us to stop for photos - even of cats). Selina could not have been more helpful and lovely, and we would highly recommend the tour.

Me and my 12-year old nephew did a cooking class whilst in Ragusa. Upon arriving at Loretta’s house, we were made welcome by herself and her wonderful family. With a lot of patience, Loretta thought us how to make fresh pasta, an amazing starter with eggplant and a lemon dessert. We surprised ourselves and managed to cook an amazing Sicilian dinner, washed away with excellent local wine. I love the concept where the ‘nonna’ can pass on her incredible knowledge, and visitors get to experience real Sicilian hospitality. I would recommend 100%, and hope Loretta will inspire a lot more visitors with her cooking!

Erika and Filippo were fantastic. We scheduled for a Saturday and, without us asking and knowing that town offices would be closed, reached out to those towns in advance and brought certified birth certificates for the relatives we were wanting to learn more about. Erika’s personality and approach connected us with a lot of people in both towns we went to. In the first, she was able to connect us with a cousin we didn’t know we had, and then politely decline their lunch invitation that would have made us unable to visit the second town. During that second visit, we eventually were able to contact a second relative in Pisa who wanted to share their family tree, and Erika offered to relay whatever information they were able to get in the weeks after our visit. The day was lovely, Erika and Filippo were fantastic, and they went above and beyond with the pre-trip work and post-trip follow-up.

An absolutely wonderful service for anyone researching their Sicilian roots. Filippo handled the driving with great professionalism, and Erica was full of fascinating insights about the island’s history and culture. They were both so flexible and attentive to our special requests. The ancestral town visit was deeply meaningful, and the local food tasting at the end was a perfect touch. A 10/10 experience!

The garden was so beautiful and inviting, What a lovely little part of Ibla! Our guide, Daniele, was so cool, and we had a wonderful time learning and identifying all the gorgeous aromatic plants (collecting a very sweet little box of samples on the way). We were also given fragrant bags to take home with us to remember the experience by!Furthermore we had the sweetest little member join us on the tour, a lovely little black cat from the area which was such an adorable addition!!Thank you so much for such a lovely memorable experience, 100% would recommend xx

Luciano from Chauffeurs inn Italy was great. He was the perfect driver. Safe and professional especially on some challenging Sicily side streets! The visit to Villa Romana Casale was excellent and our lunch visit to the winery Tenuta Valle Delle Ferle was superb! Excellent wine and the food they served was a wonderful complement to the wine. An excellent tour which we highly recommend!

Once my sister and I started planning our trip to Sicily, I knew that I would take this pottery class no matter what else happened. It was better than I could have ever imagined and truly a one-of-a-kind experience for me! You are invited into the award-winning artist's studio by herself and her husband. She describes her process of creating works of art including different influences that affect all of us when putting our passion into something we are creating. We made Baroque masks out of clay which she will fire and glaze and ship to you. I consider myself more of a crafter than an artist and she guided me through the whole process. There was also a translator so we could chat during sculpting! Her other art is for sale as well and I bought a couple of espresso cups and saucers. If you want a one-of-a-kind souvenir and experience with amazing people then I recommend this trip 100%. Thank you very much for showing me such a wonderful experience!

Great day first to the market for shopping and then to cook and eat pasta and tiramisu in the beautiful country house of Salvina and Angelo

Our chef, Salvina, was absolutely delightful. We met near the market and shopped for fresh cheese and produce. Then we drove to her house in the country where we made ravioli and another pasta by hand, two different pasta sauces and amazing tiramisu. Salvina also offered us her home made red wine and limoncello. All were delicious. Sharing the meal at the end with Salvina was the most special part. A wonderful experience!!PS - we were four people and glad we had a car to get to the country house.

Our driver and guide Dario was excellent. His shared his wealth of local knowledge with us. He drove us to Scicli, Modena, and Ragusa. In each location, Dario provided the history of each city, and gave us detailed instructions to go on walking tours on our own. The five hour tour flew by. It was a great experience.

This was truly a very nice experience with very kind people. Gloria and her husband took the time to explain the whole process of making ceramic. They let us the time to try to make something nice. They helped out where needed so we would create very nice masks.Even our teenagers were very enthusiastic about the workshop. If you want to do something out of the box and creative this is the one. I would recommend it 100%

We had an amazing time!!!!! Super authentic, the family was warm and welcoming. Food was DELICH. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We were unsure what this would exactly entail, I had ideas of some industrial kitchen with a chef. It was the opposite, we were given a warm welcome into a beautiful Sicilians home with their lovely family. The language barrier was no issue and we really enjoyed our time
