Poland Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

My husband and I went on the Auschwitz-Birkenau tour yesterday and the experience surpassed our expectations. We booked through ' Kraków direct. The whole process was effecient and seamless from our pickup in Kraków to the drop off in the evening. Both Jacob (tour leader) and our tour guide were excellent and the tour was both informative and moving. We feel privileged and honoured to have been able to pay our respects at this important place. We would highly recommend.

Fantastic tour! Guide Chris was very informative and set good pace. Mostly bike trails and quiet streets. E-bikes in great shape and easy to use. Highly recommend.

Excellent tour. Got to see lots of Warsaw and understand the history. I have such a newfound respect for the people of Poland and their ability to persevere. Lots of walking so make sure you are up for that. Could hear the guide easily.

Kuba knew the city and the fun places to go. Knowledgeable about history of different foods and which stop had the best of each type

Finally checked this off of my bucket list. Long overdue, but this experience was well worth the wait. Seeing the camps themselves is just breathtaking. Too hard to describe. One has to see for him or herself. So, I’ll focus on the tour package. Pickup was smooth and seamless, as was the drop-off at the end. Our driver, Eugene, was just fantastic. At one point, he expertly avoided a deer who jumped in front of the minivan!. He was an excellent driver and coordinator. All of his instructions were clear and easy to understand. The female guide, at the camps, was informative and professional. Highly recommend this company. Well done!

What a fantastic tour. We had an excellent guide in Maciek. His language skills were excellent, sense of humour and his knowledge was first class. We had a half time coffee and cake stop with more stories told by Maciek. I would highly recommend this tour.

Our driver, Eugene, was very patient with us as I apparently gave him the wrong hotel name (there are more than 1 hotels in Krakow with the same name) for a very early morning pickup. The pickup was supposed to have been around 7 am, but they had to change it to 5:30 due to the demands of the museum.Once we got to Auschwitz, our instructions were very clear which is always nice with these tours. He handed us off to Anna who escorted us through Auschwitz and then Birkenau. She was very knowledgable about both and told us that her grandfather was part of the rescue medical team that went into Birkenau after liberatlon to try and help the remaining survivors. Admittedly, Auschwitz is trying to process thousands of visitors every day, but that part of the tour felt rushed. We had to quickly move through some of the blocks, and I don't blame this on her but rather on the sheer need to process that many visitors.

This was our first visit to Krakow. The Old Town is magnificent...stunningly beautiful and full of life. Our bike tour was fantastic, thanks to our guide Tomas. He as very knowledgable about the city and the region as well has notable historical figures and the history of the area. His English was perfect...no issues with a language barrier. He was engaging and humorous and eager to take questions. The pace of the tour was perfect. We crossed the river and went by Oskar Schindler's Enamel factory and Tomas beautifully explained everything about Schindler and the factory. We returned after a total of about 3.5 hours. I'd give it a 6 out of 5 stars if I could!
