We came for the wine and were amazed by the food.
We had an amazing time at Montioni Frantoio & Cantina. The wine tour was a perfect blend of fun and education where we left knowing a lot more about wine in general, as well as the unique offerings of Montefalco. The tasting was equally enlightening and was paired with some of the most delicious food we had on the trip. Large portions and plenty of opportunity for tasting the wine left us satisfied, yet wanting more. My favorite bite of our entire Umbria experience was the ricotta and wine sauce we had for dessert. Everyone was friendly, attentive and welcoming for our large, sometimes rowdy group. We loved our experience and are thrilled that we get to relive it when we use our olive oil and wine shipped to us in the US.

Very useful for a first time visitor to Perugia!
This was a great and cost effective way to learn the highlights in Perugia. Internet connection can be tricky so it was helpful to be able to read about the sites and then visit them. You have all day to access the website and tour which turned out to be a plus! I ended up stopping to enter several of the sites for a few hours including the Capital museum, Perugia Underground and the National Gallery and then read more about them later. I returned the next day to get a closer view of the last of the sites mentioned on this list after reading about them. Very helpful for a first time visitor to Perugia!

What a fantastic afternoon we had with Claudia! From the first moment everything felt personal and welcoming. We started by shopping together at various local delicatessens, where Claudia talked enthusiastically about the products. It was also very nice to choose a matching wine together.Then we met her husband, Francesco, and along the way we got to see a few more beautiful places of Spoleto. Then we went to Claudia's beautiful grounds, where the cooking workshop took place.The workshop was great and so much more than just cooking. It felt like we were part of real Italian life for a moment. The hospitality of Claudia and Francesco, the delicious food, the relaxed atmosphere and the beautiful location made this an experience we will not soon forget.If you are in the area of Spoleto, we highly recommend this cooking workshop. It is a unique opportunity to experience the local culture up close and experience an unforgettable afternoon!

Outstanding Experience with Roberto!
My wife and I had an outstanding experience with Roberto, the owner, last week. Roberto put so much care into the preparation and execution of our tour. He sent us messages beforehand to ensure we knew where we were going and was very gracious in being flexible when we arrived an hour early for our tour. We learned so much about the trees, olive making process, and different regions and types of olives. To top it off, a happy surprise was that our tour was just for the two of us. The whole experience made us feel like VIPs. Also, the views alone from his farm were breathtaking. I highly recommend booking this experience!One planning note: the farm is up a rural mountain drive that is sometimes tight for American drivers, especially the last corner right before the farm, though we navigated it fine.

  • Cool Rewards is a loyalty program operated by Cool Destinations. Rewards may be earned by any eligible person holding a Cool Destinations account, subject to the Cool Destinations customer Terms of Use.

Earning rewards

  • Rewards can be earned by making bookings on the Cool Destinations website. You will be able to see the value of the rewards you can earn during the booking process.
  • Earned rewards will be issued in a pending state and will move to a confirmed state 24 hours after the start time of the experience.
  • Earned rewards will be available to redeem once they are no longer in a pending state.
  • For bookings that are moved to a different travel date, the rewards will be redeemable after the amended travel date.
  • If a booking where rewards were issued is canceled, the earned rewards will not be redeemable and will be moved to a canceled state.

Redeeming rewards

  • To redeem rewards, you must be logged into your Cool Destinations account.
  • Any available rewards will be automatically applied the next time you make a booking, and their value will be deducted from your order at checkout, unless you choose not to apply them, which requires you to indicate this via the toggle switch. Bookings made using rewards are subject to the standard Cool Destinations Customer Terms of Use.
  • You will not be able to redeem only a portion of your available rewards at checkout. It is only possible to redeem all or none of your available rewards.
  • There is no minimum order value required to redeem your rewards. This means that you can pay for 100% of your order with rewards.
  • Rewards are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
