North Holland Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

Vincent, our tour guide, was so knowledgeable, professional and kind. He was so interactive and answered all questions. Very experienced and actually lives in Haarlem. Don’t miss this tour!!!

Interesting, well presented, informative tour particularly for those interested in WW11. Would highly recommend. Pity the Museum was closed on tour days & not included. Easy access from Amsterdam central by public transport.

We had an amazing time. We had requested a couple special items to be on board and they were so accommodating of our request. Our guide William was also great. We had an amazing time. Thank you!

We caught the ferry from Volendam to Marken and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was a cool showery day for the ride but this just made the experience even more enchanting. The staff on the ferry were friendly and welcoming

Roos helped us a lot! The captain had a nice apple

Went by boat from Volendam to Marken on August 6th. Beautiful trip. On this trip I lost a little piece of my mother. That was found and sent to me by the company. What a fantastic service!!!!

I didn't know exactly what to expect from a visit to Hoorn or if there would be a lot of interesting things during the visit. And I was pleasantly surprised. The guide explained how Hoorn got started when it was all muddy and how they drained the earth so they could settle. He knows how to bring enough context to make it interesting but not too much either.Later we saw some beautiful buildings from the 1600s. I enjoyed how the guide could bring a place to live. At one building he showed us pictures of important inhabitants. He told us how they would walk through the streets in their best clothes when a special guest visited the town. Then he told us: and they were meeting in this room that you see over there in the building opposite the street.Hoorn is a beautiful city, with great history and I'm glad we had a guide who could tell it in an interesting and entertaining way.

Emre was outstanding. He is very customer centric, responsive, courteous and a very goof driver and quite knowledgeable. We had two couples in the private tour and all complimented the quality of the tour and choice of destinations after consulting with us. We highly recommend him.

The handling was simple and straightforward. In the off-season, there was no staff on site. Not a big deal, only the restrooms were also closed. Otherwise, a clear recommendation. We come here more often.

This was a great experience. Emre was a very helpful with information about the city and suggesting additional stops. He also worked within the time frame of activities we had already scheduled. I highly recommended this experience!

We had an amazing time on this city tour! A huge thank you to our guide, Wybe Jan, who was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. He was friendly, knowledgeable, funny, and shared so many interesting stories that made the tour both enjoyable and memorable. Thanks to him, we discovered the city from a whole new perspective. I highly recommend this tour!

Wonderful! Fouad was professional, polite, personable, good and safe driver, very comfortable vehicle. He went above and beyond, finding us a near by cheese maker/farm with a tour and tasting! He even gifted us Stroopwafles at the end which we appreciated as we hadn’t had the chance to get any yet. Perfect!

It's a great way to spend time in the city and see a few landmarks, as well as learning about it's history.

Truly a fantastic workshop on perfume, the ingredients it contains, and how to develop your own perfume by combining scents (and fragrance ingredients). Super interesting, and the time flies by. The workshop has a great structure; you receive a lot of information and get to experiment yourself. Due to the way the workshop is conducted, you experience a sense of calm and excellent guidance from Ananias. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to know more about perfume. The workshop is conducted in English.

Such a fun boat tent experience! We stopped at an island to have lunch and then through the nature reserve, so peaceful

Address not really easy to find! Everything else fine! Only downside is that when booking the private boat a very enthusiastic photo of a covered boat was posted which was totally not in accordance with the boat we started sailing with! Luckily it stayed dry!!
