What can I say but wow. This tour was amazing. The history and what is left is so much more than what I could have ever imagined! Also, to be able to touch actual history just blows my mind. Our tour guide Luciano, gave us so much amazing information and facts! It was great to hear what he has found and did while he worked on dig sites there.

Had a wonderful tour with Luciano Leone! He was very knowledgeable and took his time making sure the group understood everything and answered any questions we had. He even explained some of the differences between Herculaneum and Pompeii. He had wonderful pictures to help us understand what we were seeing.

Samu has been a very good and nice teacher. Our granddaughter was enthusiastic and loved the surprise on top of her stay with us in Naples as a birthday present. She’s eleven and wants to be a cook. She keeps baking pizzas for her parents the way Samuel told her. It’s been a fancy and delicious party!!!

Pompei was like visiting someone’s home when they are away on holiday except that they all fled in terror or died horribly. Guide was knowledgeable.Vesuvius was quite a climb from the bus stop. Not really suitable unless moderately fit. Crater impressive. Would have been good to locate Pompei from summit - bring binoculars, map, compass.

The Veiled Christ by Giuseppe Sanmartino is one of the most famous and evocative sculptures in the world. It is located in the heart of the Sansevero Chapel in Naples. A life-size carved marble statue, representing our dead Lord Jesus Christ, covered by a transparent shroud made from the same block as the statue. It is one of the most evocative works in the world. By carefully observing the sculpture placed in the center of the chapel's nave, you can clearly see the swollen vein that seems to throb on the forehead, the nail piercings on the feet and hands, the embroidery on the edges of the shroud. The meticulous details and the care with which the artist has embellished the wonderful work truly leave you breathless and emotional. Highly recommended!
