Montenegro Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

We booked our tour direct from the dock/port and was worth checking a few for a fair price. The speed boat looked modern and in good shape. Our captain/guide Mihailo was great, he was confident, happy, good communicator in English and you can see he is proud of his country and what it has to offer. His mate Wok (forgive my spelling was quiet but friendly and maybe learning the ropes so to say. We went fast and slow at the right places and saw what we had planned. However, you only get 30 minutes on Perast which was enough time to get an ice cream and walk the font but if you are planning to get something to eat a the restaurants you’ll might not have enough time.

Booked direct through website and communicated via WhatsApp. Collected us from quay close to our accommodation and dropped us back to same place. Skipper Mark was friendly, fun, helpful and informative, giving us different options for the two hour private tour we booked. A wonderful way to spend an afternoon.

As a plus size woman, the boat was comfortable, easy to enter and get off boat with many helping hands just in case and friends to assist climbing the tiny ladder back into boat! However, the swim in the blue cave was worth it all!

This is a fantastic experience. Our host Ivan was excellent and very knowledgeable on Perast and Kotor. The Topolino cars are great fun and easy to handle. It is really well organised including parking in Perast. A great way to see beautiful scenery and a lovely village in Perast. Thoroughly recommended.

I had a lovely time with our skipper Stefan, he was very profesionall and the blue cave was beautiful!

A fantastic experience. I really enjoyed the route; the sea was calm enough that we didn't capsize in the single kayaks, yet there was still enough swell to make it fun. The instructors were great guys who shared interesting stories and gave helpful tips along the way. They even sent us a ton of photos and videos afterwards. A great way to spend the day.

Had such a fun day out on the boat. This really covered the main things to see in the Bay for a reasonable price. Small group was great, the drinks included was a nice touch. Our guide Luka was amazing. Played great music, explained things we passed, and made sure we had a fun day. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

We had such an amazing time on our kayaking tour around the Budva caves and along the coast! It was honestly one of the highlights of our trip to Montenegro.Captain Roger was an absolutely brilliant guide. He was so knowledgeable about the area and shared loads of interesting information throughout the tour but also made the whole experience so much fun. He had such a great personality and created such a relaxed, friendly atmosphere that we felt completely comfortable from the start.The scenery was incredible, from exploring the caves to kayaking out on the beautiful sea, and Captain Roger made sure we got to experience the best of it. He was attentive, helpful and genuinely seemed to love what he does, which made the experience even better.We would 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting Budva! This tour was amazing! The thing that made it so amazing was our tour guide , Nicola! He was so friendly, knowledgeable and willing to answer any and every question. The town of Kotor is amazing and the cable car ride was top notch!

We had a fantastic day with Natasa and Ilija, sailing the Montenegro coast. They took us to an unspoiled and not busy swimming spot before cooking very tasty grilled fish and salad, even teaching my wife how to fillet the fish after being cooked. They were able to accommodate for allergens as well (gluten free) which I very much appreciated. They're clearly both skilled sailors and I loved being on the water with them.

A fantastic experience. Wonderful views, exciting downhill cycle and superb host. Our guide Armandiux made this experience for us. she gave us all the time in the world and even created a personal video for us with the camera on his drone. He was determined to make the experience happy and memorable for us. He succeeded!

We had a fantastic day with Armando! He was an excellent guide and made sure everything went smoothly. Communication was clear and easy. He accompanied us up the gondola to the top of the mountain where we got our bikes and helmets. The ride down was epic! Incredible views of the Bay of Kotor. He stopped several times to show us unique views and kept us going at a good pace. Our family is experienced in cycling and the route was not physically hard, but navigating the traffic coming up the mountain was tricky and Armando did great staying out front and providing clear instructions. After the tour he drove us from the gondola base back into town. He was lovely to talk with and even had some great tunes going on the speaker that we were all singing along to during our descent. I am so happy that we did this active excursion outside of the main old town area on a day when there were four ships in port. It was a great way to see Montenegro!
