It gives you a little history of the town but a lot of info of the foods of the region. The guide was very knowledgeable

What a fantastic experience!
Had such a great time at Acetaia Marchi! My guide was fun, passionate, and clearly knew everything there was to know about balsamic vinegar. The tour through the aging rooms was fascinating. I had no idea how much time and tradition goes into every bottle. And then the tasting... wow. The balsamic itself is simply amazing, left with a few bottles and zero regrets. Highly recommend if you're anywhere near Modena!

I would book it again
The tour was absolutely fantastic. The estate was beautiful, very well maintained, and impressive to see. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and explained everything very clearly. The whole experience was both fascinating and educational, and we learned a lot about traditional balsamic vinegar that we didn’t know before. The balsamic vinegar itself was also absolutely delicious.Overall, a very interesting and enjoyable experience that I would definitely recommend!

A very worthwhile experience.

Modena Food Tour for the WIN
This tour was a great way to start of my visit to Modena. My guide Stephi was very welcoming and knowledgeable of the history of Modena. We were a small group which was an advantage to us because Stephi was able to make it more personable.

A great self guided tour
This guide was amazing! The experiences at all the different locations was great. I wish I had read the text beforehand as you needed to book and pay an admission fee for some of the places.
The tour took me around 2 hours but that was without going into the different paid experiences.
The area was pretty quiet with minimal crowds, which made it easy to look around freely!
The tour is best people that want to learn more about Modena and want to see all the best places without just wondering around!
My husband went to the Ferrari museum so this tour was ideal for me to go a look around and it’s the tour took help me!

This was a great way to...
This was a great way to visit some local producers of regional specialties. Alessandro was a great guide and very friendly. First we toured the Parmesano Reggio factory, saw it being made, and tasted 3 ages. Then we visited a small balsamic producer and the owner did a guided tasting with us. Finally we went to a small family vineyard and did a wine tasting with the owner. It was the perfect way to immerse yourself in the region. Alessandro gave just a great recommendation for lunch afterward too.

A lovely time with Claudio in his Balsamic businesd
This was a fantastic experience in a little part of paradise!
Claudio was generous with his hospitality and explanation of making and the tasting.
Be sure to book a lunch to follow your tour as the food at La Vendetta is superb!
The oils are great and taking a few back to New Zealand with me!

Parmigiano Reggiano e Prosciutto di Parma con i professionali
Mattia is a guide from Parma with natural charisma and a light sense of humor, whose family knowledge of cheesemaking and crafting of Prosciutto di Parma serves his guests wonderfully. ParmaLook has a number of guides who are all assuredly skilled, but I feel glad to have gotten to spend the morning with Mattia, learning about and sampling the wonderful flavors of (authentic) Parmigiano Reggiano e Prosciutto di Parma and discussing travel, filmmaking, and all manner of other topics during our rides to and from the train station!

Well-informed attentive...
Well-informed attentive and friendly guide, Elena, explained the cheese-making and balsamic vinegar-making processes with relevant details; lots to learn visually with gorgeous aromas, along with tastings and serving suggestions for the Parmigiano Regiano and cheese made from the whey; and various vinegar products, all on two organic farms in the countryside. The driver who was arranged for me, given that I did not have a car, was friendly and reliable. Each farm had nice shops. I highly recommend this tour.

Parmigiano Reggiano & Aceto Balsamico tour with lunchBrandon_H, Jun 2026
Amazing 10/10
This was our favorite package I purchased for my wedding honeymoon. We started with the Parmesan tour and tasting which was phenomenal. Followed up by going to Origine 1977 which was the balsamic tour. This tour was the highlight of our entire trip. Laura gave us a tour of her property which was truly spectacular. She showed us the grape vines in her backyard and took us upstairs to her attic where the barrels are sleeping. The smell is something I will never forget. She showed us the work that goes into true balsamic. Then she had us taste them all. Unbelievable. My favorite part was how kind Laura was. She brought out ice cream for us to try with the balsamic. She let us try as much as we wanted and just chatted with us. Truly taking the time to know us and inform us as much as possible. The tour concluded and we went to lunch which was also amazing. A true mom and pop spot. Overall for the price of this you’d be silly to pass it up.

Don’t miss this opportunity!
This cooking experience was exactly what we were looking for! 15 years ago in Rome, my husband and I took a small, in-home class with a chef and had the most wonderful time. Our newly minted adult son wanted to try it too. However, that same opportunity has become commercialized, along with every other option we can find. So I was excited to find this option in one of the other cities we would be visiting, and we got matched with the most marvelous chef - Rafaella! It was just the three of us in our family along with Rafaella - who kindly welcomed us into her warm and inviting kitchen to teach us. Rafaella contacted me in the days ahead to ask for help with the menu, and carved something out that suited our family well. We made a ton of food and ate too much! Definitely plan to take home leftovers, bring Ziploc bags or some takeaway containers, and plan to have a refrigerator! We were leaving town the next day and we’re not able to do that.We ended up learning to make a ragu sauce, fresh tagliatelle, eggplant parmigiana, and tiramisu - all
from scratch - and all organic. Everything was absolutely delicious and this was the highlight experience of our trip!We made a giant mess, and Rafaella would not allow us to help clean, nor did she eat with us. But she did join us for a toast, a blessing, and dessert!Absolutely would recommend this experience! 10/10!!

Absolutely wonderful!
This tour was absolutely perfect! My sister, mother and I loved the-group experience (it was just us 3!) Alice was wonderful - very educational, personable, and helpful. We loved the private tour of the cheese factory, from the start of production through a tasting at the end. Afterwards, Alice took us to a private balsamic production where the production was explained start to finish. The tasting was very informative and delicious. Then we had a private pasta making class! Our instructor was delightful, explaining all the techniques and styles of pasta. We made the dough, rolled it, cut it properly for the specific pasta type, and also filled tortelloni. They prepared the pasta with delicious sauces and provided wine with our meal. We couldn’t recommend this tour enough. It was a great length of time and was enjoyable throughout. Thank you Alice!!!
