A great afternoon out with friends. Peter, our guide, met us on time at the place we were told. He was very personable and knew his stuff. Some nice pubs and interesting tales, as well as some good beer recommendations. All in all a great way to spend some time being entertained and seeing parts of Durham we may not have visited.

Excellent even though we are from Durham we went to different places and learnt interesting snippets re the history of the city. Julie our guide was very organised, knowledgeable and fun. The food and service at each restaurant was excellent with a great variety to sample. The whole tour was well paced and we would recommend it to anyone - local or visitor. Thank you

A massive THANK YOU to Julie, our wonderful guide, and Amy at Triple A Food Tours for making my sister’s hen do such a special experience! From the initial booking process right through to the end of the day, we couldn’t have received a more thoughtful and personalised service. Nothing was too much to ask! Amy was incredibly helpful in making all the best choices with the booking and organising everything to suit my sister and the rest of the hen do party perfectly. On the day, Julie, our tour guide, was such a joy! Great energy, really organised and up for helping us capture some lovely pictures along the way, which was such a nice touch :) All five food and drink stops were delicious and plentiful. We were chuffed with the whole day - and, most importantly, so was my sister! We can certainly recommend Triple A Food Tours if you’re looking for something a bit different, something that caters perfectly to a mixed group of ages and relationships, and an experience that everyone will remember.

I’m from Co Durham originally and was visiting the area with friends from the Midlands. Ken was an excellent guide. He gave us a lot of information about the history of the city and its surrounding towns and villages. It was useful to hear about Lord Londonderry’s influencer in the area as a trip to Seaham was on our itinerary. I would certainly recommend his tours.

Excellent audio guide - use it!
We initially looked for a physical guide, but couldn’t find one to suit our availability, so went for the audio guide as second choice. What a great revelation. The App used GPS to trigger comments for the local and very well informed guide. This meant you could move at your own pace, stop for a look at a shop or even take a coffee mid-way through the tour. Devon, who voices the guide was informative, humourous and a local, which added to the experience. First time we’ve tried an audio walking guide and would seriously consider using one again. It was inexpensive and highly recommended for anyone wanting to hear about Whitby from an enthusiastic resident.

Anna was superlative as a guide, historian, story-teller, and true host to this gorgeous city. She met us at our hotel (and had some wonderful history to impart about that as well) and guided us throughout the city's vennels, squares, river walk, cathedral, and college with knowledge, humour, and sincerity. We could have spent the entire day wtih her- her timings so we had enough time to enjoy and soak in areas was spot on. Durham is an exquisite city- with its rich history it should be on everyone's wish list!

Amazing way to explore Durham
This is a fantastic way to explore Durham. We booked at the last minute and I was looking at tours online and found this and it was just a few pounds to download so we tried this and it’s fantastic. We downloaded the tour to our phones and just walked the tour at our own pace listening to- able to stop and start as well as check photos to see we were in the right place. The content was excellent and we followed the route easily - such a brilliant idea and we would look for this provider if they do other areas. Fantastic and amazing value versus traditional tours.
