Middelburg Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

This tour took us to some beautiful spots in Middelburg. Even with a dog and a child in tow, it was well worth it — even though we didn't manage to complete everything within the time we had. Still, in just one day we saw more of the city than a woman who told us she'd been visiting Middelburg for 60 years.

Nice way to explore a city. You can decide order yourself. Assignments were clear, everything worked well. Not all assignments are associated with the location. You don't have to complete the assignments properly to continue a route. We took it easy with some snacks and drinks along the way. It's a pity that the photos taken can't be retrieved.

A wonderful event for the whole family. Fully geared towards children, and the adults can still learn quite a bit. Very motivated guide with good German language skills.

Great way to discover the city of Middleburg with your family. Even the dog went around with us. If you miss a race, it’s not blocking for the rest and that was important to me. 7.5kms in the paws in the middle of bicycles. In the country of cycling, pedestrians are not given priority with bicycles or cars.

We wanted to get to know Middelburg from another side, far away from the classic shopping street. This was successful, even the family members from 11 had fun.

Great game, really something different to see a city like this! Solve puzzles and look for locations. Highly recommended. It would be nicer in German rather than English though

Fun e-scavenger hunt. Seen a lot of the city. Sometimes the system already indicates that you are there, but it still takes a while to find where the question is being asked.

We visited the Beach Safari with parents, grandparents, and small children. Our guide Mark, who took us on the discovery tour in good German, explained the special features that can be found on the beach using informative picture boards, so we could categorize the collected treasures well and also received interesting information. Then the visit to the seals and as a highlight, a very exciting action with the crabs. So overall, a very worthwhile excursion that will stay in our good memories.

We had a fantastic afternoon thanks to Mark. What an enthusiastic and inspired man with enormous passion for all the beautiful things to discover on the coast. Attention for everyone; young and old. The kids really enjoyed it. Our eldest son has a new passion; shark or ray egg hunting. In addition, the kids loved catching the crabs, on the way home they already wanted to order crab rods for a next holiday. Spotting the seals was also fun! Special to see that you can already see them from the beach. Without Mark, we would never have seen them ourselves. Although our kids liked everything else the most!
