Lisieux 2026 Calendar of Events

If you are a history buff or American patriot this tour is for you. Standing on Omaha Beach, visiting the American Cemetary and looking down the cliffs of Point de Luc really brings the sacrifice of those before us to the forefront. Ou guide Sophie was incredible, she had family here during the invasion and her insight was absolutely incredible!

This one day (8 hour) tour generally focussed on the USA journey. It was excellent. There were 6 of us in a private mini bus. We were picked up from our private Air BnB accommodation. We had a great English speaking guide, 'Sophia', who had her own family connections to D Day which made it all the more genuine. She gave us great intel and was able to answer all of our questions. She planned the day well so we avoided the crowds and we covered a lot of ground in a very full on day. My only criticism was that there was some confusion over the start time. We originally booked it for 09:30 and then changed it to 08:30. Despite the paperwork recognising this, the message never got to the tour guide or driver so they came at 09:30. This left us anxious whilst we were waiting for them to arrive and resulted in me having to chase it up. All in all, it didn't spoil our day but, in terms of feedback - its worth double checking.

It was such a pleasure to work with a team of true professionals who genuinely care about what they do. At first, our shore excursion to Paris seemed like it might be exhausting—a long drive and a big group, all eager to see as much as possible. But Normandy Private Tour planned everything seamlessly.After the drive, we arrived in the city and began our day with a wonderful gourmet lunch cruise. It was the perfect, relaxed way to get our first look at the main sights from the river before setting out on foot to explore further.The van was new, clean, and well-maintained. Our driver was incredibly friendly, and our guide was not only knowledgeable but had a great sense of timing and really made the effort to keep everyone happy.Thank you again—from all 8 of us—for making this experience so enjoyable and memorable!

Theo met us at the port to greet us in front of our ship. We had Gigliola has our guide. She was very knowledgeable of the history of Paris. We could not have been more please with our experience!

Our guide was superb and her choices perfect for us. She was extremely knowledgeable bringing fresh views to our trip. More importantly her schedule helped us avoid crowds while still getting us plenty of time to appreciate these VERY special places. The van and driver were perfect. Went from Honfleur to Normandy US sites. Driver only no guide but Gianni was on time, very professional and helped guide us through our options and keep us on track to see everything we wanted to include and get us back to our cruise line right on time.

From the beginning, this company was incredible to work with. They were easy to correspond with and very helpful with providing a realistic itinerary that would include our most desired places to visit. We booked a van for our family of 5 and the driver arrived promptly to pick us up at the port. As requested, a car seat was provided for our infant son as well. Gilbert was friendly and eager to please. He drove us to Paris and he was very kind and accommodating. We went to several places and Gilbert did a great job navigating the intense Paris traffic. Our last, and most anticipated stop, was the Eiffel Tower. We were to meet another company there for a tour and then return to a meeting point with Gilbert at 3:45 so we could return to the ship in time. Unfortunately, our teenage daughter was separated from us at the tower and we lost her...for an hour! Of course to make matters worse, our cell phones died and we were unable to contact Gilbert. Luckily, the guards at the Tower were compassionate and allowed me to use their own chargers to get a text out to the company. They were so kind! I feared the worst- not finding my daughter, Gilbert leaving us, missing the ship.... But much to my surprise, and utmost sincerest gratitude, Gilbert waited patiently. We found our daughter and when we arrived at our meeting point, Gilbert was reassuring and understanding. He even made it to the ship with time to spare! To further add to the story- my daughter left her device in the van. Gotta love teenagers! Again, this company responded with kindness and assured us they would send it to us. I can’t thank them enough for helping us salvage our trip to Paris and for their unending kindness. They are reliable and I would absolutely recommend them as a great private taxi to get you where you need to go.

The most memorable points of interest were Pointe du Hoc and the American Cemetery. We also visited Gold Beach, Arromanches, the Overlord Museum and Bayeux, It was all very special. Sunny made sure we got to experience what we wanted and she and Mo were very considerate of our time and making sure we had a great experience….which we did.
