Nathan was a superior tour guide and her English was perfect. Have toured other countries with Cool Destinations and sometimes it is very difficult to understand our guide. She also didn’t yammer in and in about facts that we all knew.

It was a delightful day with Hassan! Even though it was too cloudy to see Mt. Fuji, he provided a day of sunshine on our trip. He is friendly, charming, interesting, flexible and very patient and accommodating—he made the day easy and fun and thoroughly enjoyable for us.

The guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and patient. I really enjoyed the experience. I wish there was more time at the mountain and the otherstops, but I realize its already along day for the driver and guide. I would hoghly reccomend this trip and ask for Yuta if you can he is really an exemplary guide 🫶

Oisin was a great guide, lovely views and great value for money. overall a lovely experience that took a decent 4 hours, with average sized crowds.

Had a great time on this tour with Oisin as our guide. Very informative and great energy! Good mix of bamboo forests, shrines and temples. Monkey park was the highlight! Would highly recommend this tour.

We had a wonderful experience. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. Sana and her assistant Mari provided a warm and Zen atmosphere. Sana provided a wealth of information about the history of the tea coming to Japan and the evolution of the tea ceremony. Well worth the time.

The staff was very kind and helpful throughout the entire experience. This is my first time wearing kimono and they made me feel beautiful! They were very gentle and very patiently styled my curly hair, I would highly recommend booking a kimono rental here!

I experienced mangroves and kayaking for the first time. Since the participants were half Japanese and half foreign, thank you for the guide who taught us carefully using both languages. It was truly the best! I will definitely use it the next time I go to Iriomote Island.

We had a great tour . Pancho is an excellent communicator who explains the history throughout the tour in a poignant and relatable manner. Very interesting, you don’t just get hands on experience with a sword, you get some history on the very house the event takes place in. You get information on the components and make up of a sword, the role of zen as well as being able to hold some antique weapons. Afterwards we got taken through some sword handling techniques before doing some cutting with the sword. The staff there take photos with their own camera which they make available for you to download, so if you are there solo, you can still get some great mementos.

If you're interested in Samurai culture and swordsmanship, this is a must. You get a bit of everything - a history lesson, shamisen music, zen meditation - and if course, the highlight is the Iaido lesson with practice swords (just like the real thing, just not quite as sharp!). The staff are really nice and helpful, and the instructor is brilliant. The highlight for me was handling a 650-year-old sword (very carefully!). Worth every penny.

Following the Ishigaki Island tour on the first day, I participated in the Iriomote Island tour on the third day. The place where the mangroves ran was mystical. The return trip was difficult because of the current, but it became a good memory. Thank you very much♪
