Easter in Gili Trawangan (Updated 2026)

Booked tickets including pickup/delivery. Performed completely top, can recommend others to use Blue Water Express :) we went from Serangan (Bali) to Gili Trawangan (Lombok) return.

It all worked out great. From the booking, hotel pickup (the driver was even much earlier, but waited, the car was super clean and the driver super nice) the check-in was very professional, the suitcases were marked directly and you didn't even have to worry about it. The waiting area clean, air conditioned, clean toilet, with drinks and snacks and travel tablets. You were escorted directly to the boat, the suitcases were stored below deck. On board everyone got free water, you could also buy other drinks and snacks. The boat has made a very secure impression. There were life jackets and spit bags for everyone. There was also a safety briefing. There was a movie on the drive.

I was very worried about transfers from Bali to Gili after reading each other’s comments. I finally chose BlueWater which had better reviews. I confirm that the transfer went very well from the preparation of the check-in to the arrival and delivery of the luggage. Super professional. I recommend.

Nothing wrong with the quality of the company. They picked us up at our Inn in Kuta Lombok. The driver was punctual. The crossing went very well. And we were transported to Ubud Bali by another very professional driver.

The boat used was clean and the staff cared for. They look out for any problems and provide a small bottle of water and mint candy. The crossing is a long and agitated one because the boat is not large. If you were seasick opt for a larger boat. You will be placed by the staff, first in at the beginning of the boat and last on the end (it moves more). Great experience for magical islands.

I made a transfer from Bali (padang bai) to Gili. The company is modern and allows a comfortable Welcoming, with in particular at the port an air-conditioned waiting room. The boats are also very modern (comfortable seats and air conditioning ), with water, mint pellets and anti-nausea if necessary. I only put 4/5 and not 5/5 because the boats are relatively small even if everything is well secured, we unfortunately had waves that day and the crossing was a bit agitated. I would recommend taking bigger boats (but it remained very well supervised hence the 4).

Really nice trip from Bali to Gili Air. Quiet and quiet with good conditions in the harbor in Sanur, and quiet and quiet boarding. Good service and high information aboard both roads. Boarding onto Gili Air was good according to the conditions there are. The only thing that came out was that our transfer from Gili Air to Gili Meno was not coordinated, and we had to spend an hour and a half calling etc to find it.

There is nothing to put on either the boat itself or the staff who tells about the safety, among other things about radars on the boat etc as well as how the wind conditions can be changed as soon as you have left the harbour. It did, too, and it was somewhat of a swing trip, for a barely as strong sea, with hard shock winds from changing directions. Returning we therefore chose the fast ferry, from Ekajaya, which is much larger, much more stable in the water and a safe experience.

It has discounted rates and accurate timing. We booked from the website and added all the information including passport numbers, the WhatsApp contact number, and the Hotel in Gili T. By doing this our check in took less than a minute.Hotel Pick Up: to avoid any early morning hassle, we booked the travel directly with Blue water. This came in very handy. One day before our travel the company reached out and shared the drive name and phone number. The driver reached exactly at the pick up time of 6 AM and was a wonderful person and a very safe driver, while the vehicle was a mini van for 2 people. They only provide private pickups through the website.Communication: The Bluewater Express directly contacted me on my website one day before our trip. They answered all my queries and provided all the necessary information. Right after booking only I also received the ticket and payment receipt.Check In at Pier: The driver brought us to the pier and handled all the luggage himself. As soon as we got off the car a staff member took our luggage and placed it at a central place. Then we proceeded to the check in counter, where we were immediately handed out boarding pass and our tickets with the port fees for both Padang Bay and Gili T along with our luggage tag for our checked baggage.Luggage Handling: The luggage was handled properly. Once luggage tags were added, they loaded the luggage on a small loading vehicle and carried it to the boat. The luggage was stored in a covered compartment on the front of the board. Once we disembarked at Gili the luggage was handed directly to us. It only had small traces of moisture on it.Boarding and Disembarkation: They walked us to the boat from the check in counter. A queue was made, while priority boarding was provided to elderly and families with young children. Once we entered the boat we were handed over a small bottle of water and ushered to our seat. Similarly no chaos at disembarkation and the entire process was very smooth.Boat Seating: The seats were very comfortable and had enough leg space. The seats seemed very new as they were super clean, while the padding was firm also indicating they were new. The AC was very chilly and everyone closed their overhead vents to avoid getting cold. It was a sunny day and with closed windows the overall AC had made the cabin very comfortable.The Journey: Upon boarding the boat, a full tutorial in English was provided regarding the safety features of the boat and how to use them, along with instructions on what to do and what not to do during the journey. No matter how much of it was true, but the information was definitely assuring. The sea was calm for most parts but there were some huge jumps here and there during the 90 minute journey from Pedang Bay to Gili T. The boat left 10 minutes before scheduled time and arrived at the scheduled time. What’s best is that they provide information and guidance in clear English through pre-recorded messages at each step of the journey.

Super easy to travel with this company. The staff picked us up from our hotel at 6:00 in the morning, dropped us off at the private boat terminal which was fairly clean and well organized by Indonesian standards. Seems it was mostly Europeans using this service. Staff was super nice and the boat crossing was quick and pleasant. We were greeted immediately upon arrival by a representative from the company who drove us to our hotel. Would definitely use them again.

Very smooth trip with blue water express from Bali to Lombok. I took the seasick pills and they worked! We would recommend!

The travel experience was amazing, they are organized, you check in your luggage at the office and the take it to the boat, where is loaded inside a storage compartiment, safe and dry. After the trip, they give it back to you at the office. The trip was smooth and the seats are confortable. They have AC and the temperature is fine in the boat.

Great ferry service … from collection to drop off they are superior to others. The hotel collection was on time, helped with luggage, ensured we arrived in a timely manner to check in, took over luggage delivery to the ferry and we had a smooth crossing on a very safe, clean and comfortable boat. The whole team were very professional unlike other boats I observed / experienced.

We booked the ferry and pick up and drop off. Fantastic service and seamless. The taxi was ready and waiting ahead of our scheduled time. All really simple and organised, taking our luggage for us at the office. Boat trip was great, brilliant air con. Would highly recommend and would travel again.

On the whole, a great way to get to Gili T. You are well looked after from start to finish with your bags taken care of as soon as you arrive. Relatively comfortable inside and you are given the opportunity to sit on the outside roof area, with drinks and snacks available for purchase. The only reason I have not put 5 stars is that it was late both ways when we travelled.

Very well organized, good communication, attentive and helpful crew. They picked us up in Ubud and took us to the port of Pangdai and from there to Gili Trawangan. From the car pick-up to the transportation on the fast boat, everything was very good. We were especially worried about our little 2-year-old girl, but everything went smoothly and we were even assigned preferential seats for the baby.
