Great cooking class and beautiful tour of the gardenWe had a fantastic experience at the cooking class and garden tour of Anggrek Putih Lombok. The lesson began with a lovely walk through their beautiful garden, where we learned more about local herbs, vegetables, and spices used in Indonesian cuisine.The cooking class was very interactive and incredibly fun. We prepared all kinds of traditional dishes from Lombok and Indonesia, and everything was absolutely delicious. The family and staff were friendly, patient and made us feel very welcome.One of the best experiences we have had on Lombok. If you like food and want to learn more about the local culture, I highly recommend Anggrek Putih

We had a wonderful time, starting with a tour of the lovely garden where most of the ingredients are grown, followed by a hands on, brilliantly guided cooking experience. The team were excellent, open to questions (many from my 9 year old) and really went out of their way to give us the best time. It was a real highlight and one we’ll remember, thank you!!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE! We ended up making some modifications to our tour due to a few mistakes on my end and they were so nice and accommodating towards us. Our tour guide and porters made the experience so enjoyable. They were constantly giving us water, hot ginger tea, and candy to keep us fueled for the intense hiking. The food they prepared for us was actually incredible and extremely unexpected- it was even prepared very beautifully. I can’t stop thinking about the soup they made us for dinner!! We even got to watch some of the World Cup on the tour guides phone! They were so caring, constantly checking in on us and asking if we needed anything. Overall, this company is 10/10 and I will recommend this to anyone who is interested in hiking Mt. Rinjani.

We did the 2D/1N summit trek with Ris, an excellent guide! The hike was tough, but he kept us going with unlimited snacks! I would also like to thank our porters who helped set up the tents and prepared the delicious food! Would recommend this organisation.

It all worked out great. From the booking, hotel pickup (the driver was even much earlier, but waited, the car was super clean and the driver super nice) the check-in was very professional, the suitcases were marked directly and you didn't even have to worry about it. The waiting area clean, air conditioned, clean toilet, with drinks and snacks and travel tablets. You were escorted directly to the boat, the suitcases were stored below deck. On board everyone got free water, you could also buy other drinks and snacks. The boat has made a very secure impression. There were life jackets and spit bags for everyone. There was also a safety briefing. There was a movie on the drive.

The tour started off well, with Wayan turning up on time in a very clean and comfortable SUV. His English is excellent, both spoken and comprehension. This made him more than a driver. He suggested additional places we might visit, and his choice of establishments for our shopping stops was excellent. As a result, the shopping stops we did request were more like tours than being harassed by eager salespeople. Our dealings with Rio Bali Tours were equally pleasant - timely, polite and informative responses.

Anggrek Putih Cooking Class was one of the highlights of our time in Lombok. The experience is much more than simply learning how to cook — you get to discover local ingredients, explore the beautiful garden, and learn about traditional Lombok cuisine in a relaxed and genuinely welcoming setting. The cooking itself was hands-on and enjoyable, with clear guidance throughout. Everything felt fresh and authentic, and it was fascinating to learn the techniques and flavours behind the dishes rather than simply following a recipe.What really made the experience special was the hospitality. The team was warm, friendly and passionate about sharing their food and culture. By the end, we had prepared a delicious meal and learned a lot about Lombok along the way.Highly recommended if you're visiting Lombok. One of the highlights of our trip to Lombok. We booked this expecting a cooking class and got so much more. The garden tour was brilliant and our boys absolutely loved it. Seeing where all the fruit, vegetables, herbs and spices came from made the whole experience feel really authentic, and we all learned a lot along the way. The cooking itself was hands-on, relaxed and great fun. Everything was explained clearly, the team were incredibly welcoming, and the food we made was delicious. What stood out most was how genuine the whole experience felt. Nothing felt rushed or touristy. It felt like spending a few hours with friends, learning about Lombok, cooking together and sharing some fantastic food. We’ve done plenty of excursions during our travels, but this is the sort of experience that stays with you long after you’ve gone home. The garden was fascinating, the food was amazing, and both of our kids were engaged from start to finish. If you’re visiting Lombok, especially as a family, I can’t recommend this highly enough. A fantastic experience and easily one of the best things we did on the island.

Beautiful hike to the crater rim with a nice guide and porters which prepared amazing food! The last part is a bit challenging but the views are worth it! Would totally recommend this walk since you have the best view over the mini vulcano at sunset!
