Gettysburg is a small town in south-central Pennsylvania just north of the Maryland border and about 150 miles west of Philadelphia. Gettysburg is best known for Civil War history and the 1863 Battle of Gettysburg, the bloodiest battle of the Civil War and a Union victory that was a turning point in the war. The National Military Park and battlefield, the National Cemetery, and the memorial on the site of President Abraham Lincoln’s famous 1863 Gettysburg Address are local highlight destinations. Aside from many Civil War historic sites, battle reenactments, and lots of family-friendly attractions, the region offers scenic countryside, farmers markets, and a craft wine, beer, mead, and cider trail.

It wasn’t the tour’s fault that it was sooo foggy. The descriptions of the first skirmishes on day one, the charge on day three were excellent. We took it upon ourselves to go to Culps Hill and Spangler Springs the next day (which of course was gorgeous weather!) to understand the right flank battles. The bus tour was an excellent overview to start from (the hours of documentaries we viewed beforehand helped too)

Our daughter came from out of town to visit us, so we thought she might enjoy the Ghosts of Gettysburg Ultimate Dead of Night Haunted Ghost Tour. It was awesome! our guide was fun and she interacted with us a lot.

The guide was very knowledgeable, and took time to answer all our questions. He took us through the battle, mentioning the generals on both sides. He explained the mistakes that were made and reminded us to remember the heat in July and how it effected all those soldiers throughout the 3 days in 1863. The driver of our bus, was personable and and worked well with the guide. My husband said he had no favorite part, as anything about Gettysburg has always fascinated him. We had a stop for a “pee break” and while I didn’t count all that got out, I’d say most did take advantage to relieve themselves or streach their legs. I would recommend this History Bus Tour to all who love history brought to life!

Marc was our guide and he was highly intelligent in all the history in Gettysburg! He was able to answer any questions and was super helpful when it came to the dosing rods. We got a few spirits able to talk to us and it was an experience I won't forget. Highly recommend this tour!

The sound of someone walking thru the bushes straight up to me and my meter going nuts! Took this picture, you will have blow it up a little. But I see 2 eyes (bright spots), hat, mustache, long coat, hand on his hip, and legs which fade away. Do you see it?Then at the Eisenhower Bridge the ghost voice that was relayed thru someone using the ghost box and headphones answering questions that Clinton, the guide, asked. When I tried it, I heard my name as clear as a bell. Couldn't hear the guide talking but was told he was saying things that prompted my name being said by the ghost.Amazing fun, had a blast, and highly recommend this tour!!

We took the four hour personally guided tour and I had an amazing time. The guide was unbelievably knowledgeable, answered all my questions and was obviously excited about the subject matter. I want to take the tour again sometime and if there is a longer tour available, I'm all in.
